mumtoomany said:Hi mumof3, don't worry about sending son to school in muddy trousers. We used to look after a girl of 11 who would refuse to get dressed every morning. I used to put her into the taxi each day, (she went to a SEN school) in just her underwear and hand the rest of her clothes to the lady that travelled with them.
Your doing great, keep it up, mumtoomany.xxJune 17 £16,000 debt ~ nov 18 DEBT FREE •June 21 £16,308 debt / july 22 debt free •Original mortgage free date 01/06/2059 current mortgage free date 01/05/20462 -
When he was at nursery they often had him in a clean nappy and half his pjs or all his pjs because I couldn't get clothes on him ans he often came home In the same pjs they were fab with him .. he would have a bath every day as a way to bribe him to get clean clothes on 🤣

@mumtoomany he has global developmental delay he's mentally about age 3/4 now but is actually 8 years old . He's always been developmentaly around half his age. He was diagnosed age 2 they thought he might 'catch up' but never has. For the last few years dd has been on par with him so it was like having twins.. now she's starting to overtake him. She really looks out for him bless her . His neurodevelopmental assessment is too look at everything else adhd add autism etc he has traits of all of them.. he's a bit of a mixed and complex bag bless him ❤

But he's lucky that he was born into a family that love him and can care for him so well. Take care of yourselves, hugs, mumtoomany.xxFrugal Living Challenge 2025.2

Thankyou both. 😀 I really appreciate it.
I didn't do much at all yesterday I woke with a killer headache and spent the day resting and sleeping 😴
Today I woke with a headache again but not as bad. I'm slowly getting things done
The downstairs toilet is still okay 👍 it just needs a quick clean
I'm currently slowly doing the lounge rallied in the rest of the rable to help because I'm going to clean under the sofas etc and I need ds1 and dp to pull them out cuz I'm not strong enough.
I have cardboard that need to go in the car for recycling centre.
Tomorrow I'm going to tackle the rest of the downstairs that I don't get done today and do q skip run. I also need to pop to work for my covid test.
But anyway today has been abit of a spend day we needed food stuff for kids lunches for school and ds2 needed some new clothes I got most of it off the reduced rail. And some bits I know he would like. I got Jumpers with no zips etc and pull on joggers so he doesn't have to do buttons and zips and will make things easier for him
I put dds school cardi in the washing machine and tumble with stickers on. Managed to get most of the residue off now so that will be re washed to try and get the last bits off.June 17 £16,000 debt ~ nov 18 DEBT FREE •June 21 £16,308 debt / july 22 debt free •Original mortgage free date 01/06/2059 current mortgage free date 01/05/20461 -
I've just worked out if i dedicated each room and area (ie landings and understairs cupboards) each month it would take me about 18 months to sort this house out.
I've dedicated a room / area for each month of the year if it takes a week fab but I have a maximum of a month for each room.
Will be getting the whole family involved this is not just my home and I physically can't do too much at once and have to pace myself otherwise I'll relapse and end up completely non mobile again.
Like I said today I started the lounge. The other day I did the downstairs toilet and back porch .
The positive of this is it will keep me busy and hopefully stop me spending money because I'll be focused on the house and not spending moneyJune 17 £16,000 debt ~ nov 18 DEBT FREE •June 21 £16,308 debt / july 22 debt free •Original mortgage free date 01/06/2059 current mortgage free date 01/05/20461 -
I also have an app called housebook that I'll use to take photos of everything when I dedicate it an area so we know where everything is
I've just got the bookcase, underneath the window the one corner and the side board to sort in the lounge and that room is done including being deep cleaned.
Kids clothes and lunches are done for the morning.
Done loads of washing again today I need to put that away tomorrow
I'm going to Bath the little ones once they have finished dinner. Ds1 has already had a shower. And then try and finish the lounge tonight,
so I can start another room tomorrow I have the day off tomorrow so I'm hoping I can finish the hall and dining room by the time i need to leave for work on Tuesday with DP helpJune 17 £16,000 debt ~ nov 18 DEBT FREE •June 21 £16,308 debt / july 22 debt free •Original mortgage free date 01/06/2059 current mortgage free date 01/05/20461 -
Currently sorting the hall. Will work on the dining room after.
Currently very peed off with mental health services / one of the General practioners so I'm using that to fuel the fire to clean and declutter .. you know what it's like when your upset and declutter everything goes In the bin 🤣
Otherwise I'm pretty okay. Speaking to my aunt later in the week so looking forward to thatJune 17 £16,000 debt ~ nov 18 DEBT FREE •June 21 £16,308 debt / july 22 debt free •Original mortgage free date 01/06/2059 current mortgage free date 01/05/20462 -
Morning my beautiful diary friends
Hope you are all well. I managed to get most of the hall done yesterday. I just need to Hoover and dust it.
I've also sold some more items on eBay.
My plan for this week
😁 Finish decluttering downstairs including the cupboard under the stairs
😁 Skip runs
😁 Post ebay parcels
😁 List more items for sale on either ebay or fb
😁 attend mind appointment
😁 book dd appointment
😁 dog to vets
😁 write letter to aunt and post
