  • Good morning/afternoon everyone
    Hope you are all well.
The lovely neighbour next door just phoned to make sure we were okay as they hadn't seen us and the car had'nt moved. So lovely of them to check on us.

We are doing okay regarding covid.
Regarding budget the last week we have just been rubbish as we got an extra food shop (ordered online) to make sure we have enough to see us through until isolation is over.
I was told by a senior staff that I'll be paid the time I'm off as its due to covid but I need to check this with my manager.

I'm going to go round the house and anti bac stuff today I'll make sure I only touch stuff with the cloth and wash it on its on (don't want to take any risks) luckily I stocked up on bleech and anti bac when I went shopping

    Hope everyone is well..
Love hugs positivity and prayers to you all

Well I'm not well I thought it would be good for me to make a list on my phone of ways we can save money on days out and holidays etc.. a way for us to enjoy days out and holidays on a budget
☆ sun holidays (we're not going away this year but definitely going to book a sun holiday for next year)
☆ sun superdays  (any information on this would be great as I don't know much about it)
☆ travel lodge is a good option for over night stay for weekends away

    Any other suggestions?

    TIA

  • Hi. Do you shop at Tesco and get Clubcard points? They could be converted to days out and trips away.

  • Just seen your diary updates - hope you’re not feeling unwell and get better soon.

For days out the museums in Glasgow are free so we really like that but I appreciate you might need to pay for local attractions. But things like going to the beach or a country park or whatever don’t need to cost. Not sure on best cheap holidays though.

  • Morning my beautiful diary friends,
I hope you are all well. Thankyou @Bluegreen143 ill see what there is local to us and our hometown (to visit when we visit family). I'm sure there are lots of places we can visit If I put the effort in to properly search.

Ds2 has done his school work. Eldest is doing his. We also got dd involved with some work sheets we printed off. Both the littlies have also done pe with Joe this morning.

I have listed 3 things to do before the lunch break
    ☆ refill weekly tablet thing
    ☆ hoover dining room
    ☆ clean kitchen sides

Once those are done I'll make another list of 3.

    Have a good day everyone

Morning, hope your feeling a bit better. When does your isolation finish? Have you got snow where you are? We've had a few inches here. Mumtoomany.

Hello my beautiful diary friends, I hope you are all well.
I've tried to post about 4 times now this morning. Hopefully this time it works.
@mumtoomany yes we did about 3 inches. DP took the kids sledging they loved it (I was working unfortunately). We came out of isolation on Saturday. I hope you and your family are well.
I came to the realisation last week that after a few tough months, covid, lockdowns, health declining, loss of my nana to name a few I have definitely been fighting quite a bad depressive episode now since about October. I've lost motivation 😞 and I'm just generally feeling rubbish to put it mildly. I also realised that long to do lists no longer work for me and neither does it work if the task seems too big I just get put off, the long lists make me feel totally overwhelmed so I'm trying a new tactic.
Each day I will list 3 things I need to do. And bigger tasks will be broken down. For example this week I want to declutter the huge built in cupboard we have in the dining room and organise it. Our paper work is also kept there so I want to tackle this too. But instead of listing it as declutter dining room cupboard I'm going to list it as declutter one shelf, shred 5 pieces of paperwork etc. Each day I will try and list my priority stuff first that way if I do get tired, in too much pain or whatever at least I would of used my energy doing the stuff I needed to do first rather than the things I could of done tomorrow and not having the energy or motivation to do the stuff I really needed to do.
I have a few things to get done today. I've already crossed off 6 things so now I'm going to write my next 3 things.
The other rule I have is after dinner clean up and bedtime routine I don't do anything else. So around 7.30pm is when I switch off and relax. This is partly due to the fact that i try to go to bed about 9.30pm if I'm not at work..

    On the money front
☆ unexpected refund from school trip moved to extra money made pot
☆ picked up 2 extra shifts this week which will be in Feb pay
☆ pay day tomorrow so will money shuffle for Feb tomorrow
☆ lots of no spend days although we did have to get 2 food shops during isolation as I forgot to order nappies for dd at night in the first shop
☆ cancelled two amazon orders from early December as they are still down as 'running late'
Update - amazon seller has issued a refund

Also I've spent today considering going back to agency work as a second job. 🙃 I'll see how the next few months go health wise first.

    Have a good day everyone
