Morning my beautiful diary friends.
I've been exhausted lately.
My current goal is too get into a good routine with housework to allow more time with the kids now they are all at school (youngest has started preschool this term) can you believe it.. when I started my diaries dd was about 3 months old she's now 4 ! Alot has happened during that time. My health has definitely deteriorated quite alot.
My current financial goal is too spend as little as possible to allow me to have all my monzo pots fully funded and ef fully funded . We currently have around 7k in savings across different cataogories. Once they are all fully funded I'll be throwing everything at the debt and then the mortgage.
Regarding my mental health I've decided I'm going to keep a diary. That way I can vent and feel like someone is listening without fear of being judged ..
Anyway I'm plodding along although I'm struggling so much inside .. I'm trying not to show it ... I'm so so tired all the time. Its a constant battle ...
Lots of no spend days recently so that's good
I hope you are all well and I'm sending so much love to you allJune 17 £16,000 debt ~ nov 18 DEBT FREE •June 21 £16,308 debt / july 22 debt free •Original mortgage free date 01/06/2059 current mortgage free date 01/05/20461 -
Morning my beautiful diary friends.
I've spent the morning trying to put together a list on zoom things the kids can take part In that are free and a list for when things go back to normal of things that are free or only a few pounds in our town And then we will add in activities of our own that are free to fill up the week.
Wages tomorrow so I'll money shuffle ready for next month
In April we have no council tax payment so that will go straight to savings or debt.
I've managed to get our monthly bills down a little as from April we also start our lower mortgage payment.
I was wondering how much people save in an emergency fund when paying off debt?
Not alot else to report I'm going to start tracking our no spend days today again I won't include regular bills but will include if we do a food shop or get fuel so basically anything outside of our normal bills will be classed as a spend day
Have a lovely day everyone

Hi, @mumof3.12kindebt. Just posted on here and it's disappeared into the vastness of space! Good to see you posting again. DD1 was telling me about a thing she'd heard the other day (a podcast I think). If you only put three achievable things onto your to do list each day, so for me today that was clean the kitchen sink, put the pile of towels/bedding away and make pastry, once these are completed your brain is then "rewarded". I've been trying this and seem to get much more done in the day, even though I only "have" to do three things. Hope that makes sense. Hope you're feeling ok and enjoying this sunshine, take care, mumtoomany.Frugal Living Challenge 2025.2

Morning my beautiful diary friends,
Good morning, @mumtoomany, lovely to hear from you. Yes I was doing this just listing a few things at a time and I was finding I would do those things and then add another few and do those and before I knew it I had got loads done in a day. So I'm definitely going to go back to it for this month.
Im hoping to post daily again, even if its just a check in ... to keep me on track.
I hope everyone is well. Hugs to those that need / want one.
I need to do a meal plan and shopping list for food shop today 😩
And have a few jobs to do I've been putting off.

Hello my beautiful diary friends.
I hope you are all well. Hugs love etc to all that need/ want some..
Im working tomorrow morning but after that I have a few days off due to taking annual leave for appointments. And I'm not back in till Saturday.
My goals for this week are
Super frugal week. - spend as little as possible.
Make at least £100 selling stuff.
Do surveys every day
Go to bed at a decent time... I've been staying up till the early hours and I'm knackered 😴
All of the kids go back to school on Tuesday.. so I need to get everything sorted tomorrow night for that.
I didn't achieve everything I wanted to during half term. But I'm determined to start getting more crossed off my list each day and use my days more productively. Depression can really take control of your life In the most unpredictable ways. 😪
My uniform is ready for the morning and I need to do my covid test before I leave so need to be up extra early.
Since the start of the month we have been really frugal and only spent on essentials.
I'm going to try and do at least 5 frugal things a day again.
I've been making lists of what frugal/free things are available within our community, we have a food waste organisation a few times a week where you can fill a bag for £1 of fruit and veg. I hate food waste so this is a double win for me, saving it from going to landfill and getting cheap fruit and veg ..
We also have a libary that is opening back up some days of the week from tomorrow, a uniform exchange and lots more.
It's great what you can find out what is available from a bit of research ...
