accidentalglixch, and hoping that things improve enough that you can cope. ME/Fibro is always made worse by stress. (((hugs))) X
I Believe.....
That it isn't always enough, to be forgiven by others.
Sometimes, you have to learn to forgive yourself.

A bit lax keeping up with the last few days of 2021 😔 but I am keeping up with the 2022 Decluttering Thread - the Electric Train is filling up nicely 😉 Tuesday was yet another dark, damp, dreary day but quite warm 🙂 DH did a medium sized shop - but unfortunately no Christmas Puddings in MrS ☹️ We had a bowl of hm soup for lunch - very tasty but looks unappealing as has hg chard in it. I have done no specific decluttering but am devoting time to bringing my decluttering plan for 2022 into focus 🙂 Dinner was picky bits but did have Christmas pudding with cream (Bailey’s cream for DH & me 😉) Wudupa.
Wednesday is another dark, damp, dreary day but relatively warm. When I finish posting, I will be formulating a plan for my 2022 Decluttering Campaign- so please wish me luck 🍀
2344 - 2346 Kitchen recycling, drinks cans, cardboard packaging - recycled

Gorgeous picture Vascodakarma ☺️ You really are embracing your name & making full use of your time in Iceland 👏 Communal showering, whale watching & mountain climbing 🤩
Ouch Floss, 2021 has been an expensive year 😣
Great work TC77 👏 New target reached & one more Gold Star ⭐️ on its way 🙂 Definitely SABLE in stationery 😉 I think it is the “you have to break eggs to make an omelette” or is it “it gets worse before it gets better” 😉 Unfortunately like you most of my rooms look like Rooms of Doom 😭 with just the odd areas that are relatively clean, tidy & decluttered 😔 but I am determined that I will do better in 2022 😃
Ouch Chrystal 😣 hopefully 2022 will be expense free 🤞
Proofread100 sounds exhausting 😪 Please take care, we don’t want you or your DDs succumbing 🙏 Well done on starting your Decluttering Campaign 👏 It is a sad fact that getting started is often the hardest thing to do having made the decision to declutter 😔 Hope you enjoy the time spent with your friends 🤞
Excellent work on tackling such a large frog, Siebrie 👏 One Gold Star ⭐️ on its way 🙂 I am also sending you a medal 🏅 for finally getting your Husband on board & I am keeping everything crossed that he is as good as his word 🤞
Wow you have been busy bit_by_bit 👏 You sound very organised for the 2022 gardening year - I am suitably impressed & also very pleased that you are reaping the rewards of your decluttering 🙂👏 Also well done on not taking your purse to CS 👏 Good work bit_by_bit 👏 What lovely news to be welcoming a new baby into the family ☺️
Warms my heart that you had such a lovely family Christmas nannywindow ☺️ It is also nice to hear that your young neighbour is so community minded 👏 I love the idea of opening surprise packages from the fridge - something DH & I would do but rather curtailed by DSis as she is very set in her dining ways 😅 You should have seen the look on her face last night- pigs in blankets & a bacon sandwich are not her idea of dinner 😂 I will avail myself of a couple of hugs 😉
So sorry to hear that your husband is so poorly, accidentalglixch ☹️ I hope that you, your DH & poor Remi are all soon on the mend 🤞 🤗 Great decluttering 👏
Good work short_bird 👏
Nice post Chrystal 🙂
Good work vulpix 👏

Vascodakarma: I love the photo of the glacier & your post - truly inspirational. By the way I went to Iceland in the late 1980s (when I was still a young thing) ... I remember being a bit taken aback by the swimming pool naked-ness !
Good for you for going with the flow. Enjoy the rest of your trip.

EnergyShifter, I was also lucky enough to go to Iceland - my DH took me in November 2009 & we stayed in an attic room of a hotel with a great view of the Hallgrimskirkja Church in central Reykjavik. Sadly the weather was too bad to see the Northern Lights ☹️ Vascodakarma sounds like you are having a wonderful & invigorating holiday 🙂Be Kind. Stay Safe. Break the Chain. 🎉whoop whoop a sneaky bag 32 went to charity today🎉
That is officially the last bag for 2021. I was hunting for something under the bed earlier this week and was taken over by the decluttering urge.✒️ Declutter 2025👗 Fashion on the Ration 2025 61/66 coupons (5 coupons silver boots)✒️Declutter 2024 🏅🏅🏅(DSis 🏅🏅)

Hello all, hope everyone is well, hugs a plenty winging their way to you if not. Out today ( I've been saving all this up in carrier bags as it hasn't stopped raining enough to get to the bins ) 2 empty chocolate boxes and a Turkish delight box.... and I didn't eat it all by myself, honest 😁 Out too an empty lemonade bottle, a cocktail bottle, a sparkling wine bottle, a bucks fizz, several lager bottles, a Schloer one and 8 empty J2O's, sounds like I like a drop but I don't, I'd rather have a cup of tea 🤣 I've also decluttered 2 loads of washing, which seemed to magically appeared overnight. This afternoon I shall go through my presents and remove all the goodies from their packaging, then that can go into the recycling too......the packaging not the contents 😂 Can't wait to straighten my house and put my spare bedroom/craft room back to normal but that will have to wait as we have the DGC here overnight again tomorrow to celebrate the New Year, we are soooo popular, or should that read pushovers 😍 And we've also been chosen to be their holiday hotel landlords while DD and SiL go abroad for their wedding anniversary 😱( it's only for a couple of nights in July and the DGC are always as good as gold and great company )
Sadly this shall be my last post on this thread, ever 😭 Therefore I would like to wish everyone.........a Happy and Healthy New Year 2022 and I wish you all joy and peace. My next post will be on the shiny new thread, Hurrah !!! Hope to see you all over there. 🥰

PS sorry forgot to add a heartfelt thankyou to all who post here, the support for each other is very special. An extra special thankyou to our founder, cheerleader and all round good egg.......... drum roll please......... MrsSD, without whom we would probably ( at least I would ) still be floundering in a sea of clutter. Thankyou to all xxx🧡🧡🧡Failure is simply the opportunity to begin again, but this time more intelligently13 -
I have quietly started putting away the christmas decorations, first the delicate paper foldout decs, then whatever was hanging on the walls, now the small windowsill tree. Only the big fake tree to do, next weekend.
I went shopping in the presales yesterday and bought 4 thick sweaters. It seems overkill, but I didn't have any thick sweaters any more and was layering up, covering with a fleecelined woollen cardigan, very warm, but the most boring beige ever, it depressed me. Now I have colourful, cheerful, warm sweaters. They will help keep the gasbill low...We paid €130/month, and we are looking at a new contract of €230/month! Every degree we can keep the heating lower, will help.
