Mrs SD I think you confirmed my new target was 2230 although I thought I'd made it 2250 - however think I've reached both, with ood food decluttered, been sorting out old papers, final ombudsman decision for issue dealing with for DD1 - taken about 3.5 years from start of issue with bank - over a year to get info, and I have 2 large lever arch files I'm sorting out, saving plastic wallets, and 2 large carrier bags of more papers bank sent me when I wanted a few sheets of paper (they took another year to send) which I am taking back for them to shred!. They also sent me someone else's data ...
Putting my stationery supplies together - like with like...and then will go through getting rid of more...how many files, folder, document holders does one need. Is it SABLE you mentioned Mrs SD?
Have few items to leave house but may be in 2022 but paper going this year.
@Floss.... your post made me smile (image of table of us with our various clutter hands) although not funny having all those things - hope you get them sorted. Took me 18 months to get rid of rats in the walls, and new bathroom leaked for a while, and still some ongoing issues.
Here's to a good 2022.7 -

That it isn't always enough, to be forgiven by others.
Sometimes, you have to learn to forgive yourself.
Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery
Today is a gift. That's why it is called the present.
happiness isn't achieved by getting extra things,
but by getting rid of the things that make you unhappy7 -
Thank you so much for the words of welcome and bits of guidance. Especially Mrs SD.
I have been doing a lot of extra work so haven't had the time that I had planned for cleaning and tidying.
Had yesterday off but was so exhausted that all I managed was to fill a laundry bag with stuff due for upstairs and take it up. But at least downstairs looks less like a laundry now.
Will go up and make sure it all gets put away later.
Had been really looking forward to a day out with DDs but we are so tired. DD1 worked and did on call from Friday morning to Monday morning (in hospital) and I did extra plus on call in the community. Flippin' Covid!!! One after another member of staff off isolating. We are just too tired to enjoy it so they will go to the cinema with their friends then come back here to eat.
I managed to eat a frog yesterday. Had paperwork overspilling a littie letter rack. At least it got sorted into stuff to file, stuff to shred (goes in a bag and will take to work tomorrow) and stuff to recycle. Bits that needed dealt with got dealt with.
The kitchen island got mostly cleared then got more stuff dumped on it. I will get it cleared today because it's annoying me now.
Have a good day all, whatever you're up to. I'm heading out to meet my friends for a run/walk (too tired for much more but it'll be good to be out in the fresh air).9 -
I tackled a major frog: deepclean of the bathroom! That's 'Walls and Ceiling', not regular floor and sinks. Husband has been muttering for some time that he doesn't like our house and does his best to keep away, and I have tried to get it into his head that house maintenance requires more than a once a week sweep of the floors (we've been married for almost 14 years....). This time, it seems to have landed. He was impressed and cheered up by the difference the cleaning made, and has agreed to help with the other windows, walls and ceilings in the house.
Husband regularly buys items to make cleaning easier, which then live in the garage and never come out..... Plain water and a rag can still do most of the work, but you actually have to do it!
We are both off work this week, and not visiting my parents, so plenty of time to focus on our home.Are you wombling, too, in '22? € 58,96 = £ 52.09Wombling in Restrictive Times (2021) € 2.138,82 = £ 1,813.15Wombabeluba 2020! € 453,22 = £ 403.842019's wi-wa-wombles € 2.244,20 = £ 1,909.46Wombling to wealth 2018 € 972,97 = £ 879.54Still a womble 2017 #25 € 7.116,68 = £ 6,309.50Wombling Free 2016 #2 € 3.484,31 = £ 3,104.599 -
So in prep for next year. I have gathered all unused Christmas cards and wrapping for storage. I disposed of some I was going to reuse as too tatty but the rest is neatly stored. I don't need to buy any more for a few years yet.
I also went through all the cards I have for other occasions. They are all in one place. I am using a pile of blank cards for birthday cards so stocked up. For kiddie cards I am using some made by my SiL which are suitable for kiddies only really so I am reducing the need to buy. I will look at my craft store and see if I can make some rather than buy for closer friends.
In the same manner I have put all the birthday wrappings together and will reuse and recycle. I don't need any. It is tidy and can all be stored in one place.
As I am aiming to buy virtually nothing in the next year I am happy with this. Presents will be planst and pots mostly so it is compost I will neeed above everything else. For my birthday I am asing for terracotta pots.
Last month I sorted all my seeds and I do not thing I need any for the year. I have sorted them into envelopes for monthly sowings. I got januarys out this morning and put it in my gardening bag. In its place in the porch.
It shows what a diffierence all this decluttering, reducing and reusing is making.
Finally yesterday I tookall DD stuff down from the loft as she had forgotton some of what she has. She is leaving home in January (we expect) and sharing ahouse. She is taking some furniture and all her stuff from uni. I am locking her door I think so I can't store stuff in there. I don't want another dumping ground.
Right off to the CS ( to work) Not taking my purse so won't be buying anything. Have a great day everyone.

I can't rememember if there is a word or phrase for when you start sorting things (papers currently) and it goes through that worse look! in the middle of it, but will have to wait as going to my Dad's and hoping to sort some things in his house and visit him in the care home. When away a few days ok cats had accidents and trying to work out how best to clean the carpet! DD2 is using body spray intermittently.
Most rooms look like RoDand tax form will be one of first 2022 frogs but really hoping I start decluttering in a deep decluttering sense so easier to keep straight. Like with like stationery and office supplies makes me realise how much I have.... and its a lot!!

Hello everyone, I hope you had a good or reasonable xmas. I have had 3 days of partying with my family and a lovely time was had this year 🥳 A bit different from last year when we weren't able to be together 😢
Today I have put out the rubbish bins and I seem to have decluttered my over-the -road neighbours' rubbish too. Poor chap was out early this morning collecting his rubbish which had been strewn up and down the road and into our driveway. ( Don't know if it was a human or animal that did the throwing around 🤔 ) Anyway I had room in my general rubbish bin so he filled that with his extra stuff, I don't mind as he's a 20 something year old family man with an old community head on his shoulders and will help you out at any time 😇
I have started to fill the wm with bedding and there is another clothes load ready to go in, sadly the weather is so unpredictable it will all have to be dried indoors. This afternoon I have to declutter the fridge of it's contents, it'll be like xmas again as I've covered everything in foil, so each parcel holds something unknown 😲 I found some flattened cheesecake in there yesterday, didn't go to waste though and it tasted just as good even though I had to scrape it off the plate 😋 🤣
Right I'd better get on.
Take care all, the hug bucket is replenished, please help yourselves. Sending healing vibes to all the poorly ones too.
nanFailure is simply the opportunity to begin again, but this time more intelligently10 -
Just popping in to say I hope everyone has had a good Christmas.
We had a stay-at-home one since my husband was very poorly & still is.
We've not been having a good amount of sleep as Remi (The dog) has been waking up screaming for some reason. Will get this looked into by a vet tomorrow (3 different Out Of Hours were no help)
My Fibromyalgia pains are extremely bad today so I won't get a lot of sleep anyway.
I did get some decluttering done;
