@vulpix always so impressed by your energy and your creativity. Interested that you are hand sewing. I've sewed a little in the past by hand as can't get to grips with sewing machines. Thinking of covering an old pillow with some fabric for our large cat that overspills all cushions.

 TC 77,go for it with the hand sewing. If your cat is anything like either of mine it will swerve the beautiful comfy pillow and find somewhere totally unsuitable to sleep. Last Christmas for DD2 I bought a calendar from Poundland and stuck  photo's of fluffy cat sleeping in ridiculous places over the top of their pics. My personal favourite is of fluffy snuggled up to a bag of grout. I was going to do one of handsome boy this year but he is boring and all my pics of him are of him just looking handsome.

 Made a nice chicken and leek pie today ,portions left for the freezer too. I also cleaned the sitting room and took some ornaments upstairs in preparation for Christmas decorating. The cushion is almost finished. satisfying to use all the fabric up. I did like your idea bit by bit but DIL bought me a velvet zipped bag from her Christmas Fair the other week. I decided not to make more Christmas cushions, I need to do other stuff. Listed the cushions I would have covered for sale and the are now sold. Kerching.

 I have an old brass top table with folding legs. Cleaned the brass top today and used the old shower curtain over my knee as I usually get cleaner everywhere.

Thursday was dry to start but then rain, rain & more rain ☹️ Wrote shopping list & sent DH to sm 😉 Also got DH to post ALL the Christmas cards 😉 Dinner was the 2nd half of last night’s dinner. Second load of washing, tumble dried & folded. DSis Wudupa 👏

You are very welcome oceanspirit 🙂 Loved the soppy stuff 😉 & you are allowed to be soppy at least once a year 😅 A very good attitude to have re the temporary clutter in the living room - no stressing, just acceptance that needs must etc 👏 

vulpix, the cat was just waiting for it’s new bed 😂 I agree with the hand sewing 🙂👏 I have 2 old sewing machines that are such a faff to set up that I tend to hand sew as well - ends up being quicker 😉 You sound very well organised 👏 The waterfall in the garden sounds like a nightmare 😬 Fingers crossed that your local councillor can kick a few backsides & get it sorted out 🤞 Shame about the chilli jam 😔 As to the shower curtain, perhaps you could use it as a liner in a raised bed? Or perhaps cut a hole in it to make a waterproof cape? What a great idea re pictures of fluffy cat’s odd sleeping places 😂 I see you have already found a great use for the old shower curtain 👏

Vulpix- i’ve just dropped my local Tory councillor in it with his own enforcement department.  Since they’ve moved in they have permanently parked their horsebox in the parking space alongside my garden wall and they have destroyed the tree behind it. The enforcement team came out today to remove the branches that they’ve cut down to allow them to back fully into the space, but they left the branches to dry and die on top of other bushes! 

 my view is blocked by their horsebox which from my angle looks like a prison van. It’s been there for more than six months now! talk about taking the Mickey! 

The enforcement team also moved their bins today which they were keeping on council land and blocking the end of my path meaning that I have to walk a longer way round since they moved in.
