So not much done as busy.
Yesterday DD recieved her second degree. It was in the morning so I took the in-laws and DD to the event and sloped off to sit in a pub for breakfast and work through my plans for next year for the house garden and plot. It was great thinking time and although I paid for breakfast there was unlimeted tea and toast so I made full use of that. Plus I was warm
Good news is that SiL is out of hospital. Popped to see her yesterday afternoon. Nothing with her to say that was wrong with her or to say how to care for her. Her mobility is variable and she is slower of speech than she was when she went in. Going back to Manchester tomorrow with a chair she can get out of easily and some rails for the bathroom so she can get in and out of the shower safely. She is supposed to be having a walk in shower fitted but who knows when that might be?
In other good news I am covid negative.
Been to the allotment today and finished the job of filling a raised bed ready for my garlic to go in. One bag out today to the CS when I go to work in the next half hour.
Have a good day everyone and hugs to those in need.

1007. Even more electronic documents deleted and organised - took hours ... (step 2)
Next step is creating a easy to maintain system
Been back up to the hospital - turns out I have an inflammation of the eye following my op - I had been feeling very out of sorts for the last couple of weeks - 3 days of antibiotic eye ointment and its already so much better. It's one of those situations where I hadn't realised quite how rough I'd been feeling - just knew my eye was sore. Anyway onwards and upwards...
Took a large sack of items to CS this morning- all previously counted or belonging to my ex H who had cleared out his storage unit. I inherited a nice streamlined chair which has transformed my living room - replacing the beautiful but too large for the space chair that has now been moved to bedroom.
1008. DS' old trousers
1009. posh room fragrance - had to finally accept that it gave me a headache
1010. DS' old suit 6th form suit
1011. Bin of shredding
Bit-by-bit - congratulations to your DD on graduating from her Masters

Mrs SD, it doesn't surprise me that the lady is booked up.Have been sorting through beauty products today - gave myself a mini facial. Have put to one side samples that I want to use up. Also, took stock of what I have got. Placed an order with JL - 20% off due to BF - apart from night cream, should not need to buy anything till next November!!! Was thinking of heading over to the 'Don't buy any toiletries ....' but as I have been decluttering for quite a few years on this thread, if I could incorporate that as part of the 'decluttering' toiletries / beauty and I will set part of next years target on this and think about my numbers for items to declutter, excluding day to day recycling.Recycled packaging cardboard, paper and plastic from chocolates, socks and beauty boxes.2025 Fashion on a ration 0/66 coupons

Thank you for the praise @Mrs_Salad_Dodger we’re trying to be more eco friendly!
Today has been mostly decluttering leaves and putting the garden to bed for the winter. The garden however had other plans, with a very confused strawberry plant, anemones trying to flower and the rhubarb starting to grow again! On the plus and expected side the hellebores are starting to bud so they’ll give a splash of winter colour.✒️ Declutter 2025👗 Fashion on the Ration 2025 61/66 coupons (5 coupons silver boots)✒️Declutter 2024 🏅🏅🏅(DSis 🏅🏅)

@Mrs_Salad_Dodger Yeah I too think that's the reason they were left but I'm sort of glad they did because I enjoy watching them. I used to have them at my parents. Was relaxing & calming , made me feel better on rough days.
I have indeed named a few more... So I've decided to split the name Nicholas Cage up as I have 2 ghost fish so now One's called Nicholas the other Cage. Cheeto, Pumpkin and nugget are all 'gold' goldfish. Then we have a white fish with a red colouring sort of circle shape on their head so they are Tao, a white one with red splotches called Mushu, a white one with red around the lips is called Pudge from Lilo & Stitch. They all have at least some relevance to my life & my likes/interests.I need to find another fat fish for my Australian friend to name as she's been having rough time and would make her happy to contribute 'across the pond' lol.
I can't decide what to call on of the fish. He's fat and grey speckled but he darts around under the other fish to scare them away so I have these names floating about; Tank, Ragnarok, Hurricane, Hulk or Bandit. For me its either Tank, Ragnarok or Bandit.
Our bedroom isn't done at all, still lots to sort. My underwear draw organiser came so that's really tidy & organised as well as my PJ's, hats, gloves and scarves.
The main office is pretty much set up, I just need to buy a new desk for my personal PC as work is sending me a company PC to work from instead - As i use my own device, i have a lot of restrictions so can't do most f my job - that's why.
The guest bedroom needs a lot of furniture but it's now my own office for work. I emptied a plastic draw set of clothes which I've now used for my office which neatly holds paper, pens, stationary stuff & envelopes.
I started to unpack hair dryer & straighteners and my medication/fitness stuff (I've yet to use but plan to) and put them in the draws of bedside cabinet. Still loads to do. Pain is bad today so hubs said just relax and we'll unpack tomorrow instead.
The kitchen is the only place fully unpacked & decluttered!! WOOT WOOT
Husband is fully on board with not shoving anything anywhere , been getting into a better routine to keep house relatively tidy where we can - made a todist app account with chores to do in the week/month and will share with hubs - again fully onboard with this as he wants to take more pride here too!!
I threw out another 12 items over the past 2 days ; China mugs we won't use, a coffee jar from last set we had and a few other little bits. Today went to old place to clean & sort storage cupboard. About 5 things put outside. At 'home', I got rid of a pile of paper from my 'inbox' folder. so thats... 110 items
So so proud of how we are creating the house we want & love.
slowly getting there just hope we get it mostly done in time for Christmas

1. KITCHEN WILL CONTINUE TO BE LEFT CLEAN & TIDY EVERY NIGHT
2. JUST DO ONE THING EVERY DAY (courtesy of bit_by_bit) OTHER THAN DAY TO DAY CLEANING & DECLUTTERING
3. ONCE A WEEK LEAVE THE HOUSE (e.g. Go into city centre for bank & butcher; go to local town for cs dropping off or buying; visit the pub with DH 😉
4. CLEAN & EMPTY SURFACE AREAS - DAILY
Saturday was an overcast day but no rain & felt slightly warmer. I have done sweet nothing apart from nap, watch TV & make dinner - fried chicken, mash & peas for DH & DSis. I had scrambled eggs & smoked salmon on toast. Wudupa. DH had his booster jab this afternoon - seems fine - arm OK so far although he did fall asleep at his desk for a while.

Congratulations to your daughter for her 2nd degree, bit_by_bit 👏 Well done on planning out next year’s house, garden & plot tasks & in such a great environment 😉 Very pleased to hear that SiL is out of hospital & hopefully the walk-in shower will happen soon 🤞Yippee negative test 🥳 Great work at the allotment 👏
Great news EnergyShifter - so glad you are on the mend 🙂 but please take it easy. Great decluttering 👏
Excellent work Gem-gem 👏 I think it is a great idea to incorporate decluttering toiletries/beauty products - means you will stay with us 😉🙂👏
Excellent work on decluttering a huge 2 year old frog, balabooberlies 👏 I think that counts as at least 10 bags 😉
You are welcome florianatwobob 🙂 The weather this year has led to very odd plant behaviour 😉 but I hope that you get some more rhubarb 🤞
accidentalglixch it sounds like the pond full of goldfish is a true bonus 🙂 not only bringing back happy childhood memories but creating happy new memories 🙂 It also sounds like a great deal of fun naming them all 👏 What a kind & lovely idea to find a fat fish for your Australian friend to name 😇 I agree with TC77, you are doing amazing work settling into your new home 👏🙂 I hope you are starting to sleep better 🤞 You have already done so much work & what a boon that your husband is fully on board - a Gold Star ⭐️ ⭐️ for each of you. Great work on decluttering as well 👏
Excellent work TC77 👏 You have reminded me that I need to sort through my first aid stuff - it is all in one place - a cubbyhole in my wall unit - but there is way too much of it 😔

Oh the rhubarb will go back to sleep when the weather gets properly cold. The crown is over 43 years old and knows what it’s doing so I leave it to it’s own devices 😉. I know how old it is as it was given to my mum (along with a bouquet of freshly dug beetroot) by one of my dad’s friends when they announced I was on the way. It’s made a lot of crumbles along the years and is everyone generally agrees that it’s very tasty rhubarb.✒️ Declutter 2025👗 Fashion on the Ration 2025 61/66 coupons (5 coupons silver boots)✒️Declutter 2024 🏅🏅🏅(DSis 🏅🏅)
