2021 MISSION DECLUTTER and CLEAN

Hello everyone, you all seem to be doing well with the decluttering and cleaning.:)
I'm back on my fibromyalgia medication the past couple of weeks so I haven't had has as much energy but I did deep clean my bathroom a couple of days ago.
I also went through my makeup drawer and threw away a few things I never use. I also found a brand new lipstick I had forotten I bought! I moved all my lipsticks and lip balms to a box in the porch as I thought that would make more sense as I usually put my lipstick on as I leave the house.
I also went through all our drawers and reorganised everything neatly.
I have just done a load of laundry and will tackle the undersink cupboard in the kitchen today. I might pull up a few weeds in the garden but that will probably be it for the day.9 -
Hi all,
The other day I saw a make up recycling point in a Mr T's. I have never seen 1 before but prompted by Wednesday 2000 I thought I would share as I am sure others will be around and might be helpful to others looking to declutter some make up.
@Mrs SD, yes it has been like the Dakar rallyand should have been done by now but the bl**dy virus really got in the way and I was beginning to despair of ever getting it sorted but I am feeling much more positive now.
I will let you know how the sweet potato and pepper soup turns out, I am making it up as I go along
Take care everyone9 -
Got up feeling enthusiastic so decluttered small people to school after overnight stay and came home ready to go. Kitchen sinks were disgusting so I started by filling them with hot water and cheap biological washing powder (they don't like bleach). Soaked for an hour and now they are sparkling clean - bleach in plug holes and over work surfaces. Good job done. I think I've finally got over last week - nice holiday but exhausting as I rarely drive that far these days. I have to collect small people from school but taking them to their home as DIL finishes work at 4 today. DS2 had puncture yesterday so decluttered some money helping out there.

Just caught up with all the posts. Progress even for the more poorly of us.
I haven't got rid of anything really but did sort a pile of summer clothes into CS, keep or cut up. The summer clothes are going up in the loft over the weekend. The front bedroom needs a small amount of work doing in clearing and cleaning in preparation for decorating.
Today I helped DS1 move his garden and have snaffled some cuttings for lavender and a rosemary. I smell nice too. Also a few more smaller plants. I have checked out my front garden in preparation for a big dig up of plants to be transported to my DS partner. On the Allotment I split all the chives I had heeled in so I can give some away but also to have at home.
Keep well everyone.

Hello all, spent most of today on the phone trying to get a GP appointment, my gentle badgering and persuasion finally paid off and eventually they gave me one for tomorrow at the sister surgery. I wouldn't normally be so persistent but I'm in pain and have been on-and-off for 2 weeks. Meanwhile DH was on his mobile sweet talking S*y as our contract runs out this month. He was successful as they have reduced our monthly bill, given us Net*lix for free and we have an engineer booked for tomorrow to come and look at our pathetic broadband speeds. On top of that success while looking for the box to sent back their router in the room of doom office ( we're having an upgrade ) I came across 3 empty cardboard boxes and as their contents are now out of warranty, they have been recycled.Several pairs of my pants have been binned as the elastic had become too loose for comfort and 2 of DH's odd socks. I had hoped the mates to the socks would surface at some point but I've given up waiting for that miracle to happen.I found the garden bag yesterday and relocated several other items to DH's shed, must have been a naughty elf that put them in my gardening shed because it certainly wasn't me and DH has denied all knowledge 🤨Take care all, stay safe and well.nanFailure is simply the opportunity to begin again, but this time more intelligently8

It is done.
I have looked through all the boxes from the spare room and from under the stairs. They are much reduced and now all of them fit under the stairs It will stand being done again at a future date. I have kept things that I am unsure about but I think in the future they could go. Still to sort, a stack of pictures and then pack everything up for the car boot sale.
I have lost something that I expected to find today. Some ornaments that I have collected. They must be in the shed mixed up with all the car boot stuff that I have been shoving in there. Certainly not in the house.
I brought a lot of ornaments and the like from the last house as I didn't know what would suit this house. I seem to have found my vibe so the excess can go.
I am pleased that there is nothing in the loft. Nothing in the bedrooms but clothes and bed linens. Tomorrow is time to regain some order downstairs. I gave myself until Christmas to do this so,so far so good.

@Wednesday2000, I would never have thought of recycling make up either until I saw the recycling point. I even commented to the sales assistant that I had never seen 1before. She said they have had it ages and is very popular. If you shop in Mr T's it might be worth asking if they have one. It was inside the shop by the kiosk bit.
@nannywindow, well done on getting the docs appointment, I must say mine have been quite good recently but I know it's not the same everywhere. Odd socks are the bane of my life, I have a cloth bag I keep in the bottom of the wardrobe for odd socks. Last time I sorted it I got 23 pairs of socks out of it. I currently have 5 odds in there
@vulpix, in total awe of your achievements
I didn't get to the sweet potato and pepper soup today, I got totally distracted by pickling beetroot and tomorrow I will be at my friend's funeral so it will be Saturday.
Take care everyone9
