Thanks for the good wishes on the new job! It is only temp till mid December at the latest - it's for a Big Event next year and I will say no more till I have checked I canMonday's meeting is a face to face look round the facilities, sort out the paperwork, meet my colleagues, look at the Covid protocols. (The latter will be important...)

Thanks for the star mrs sd. DS3 will be very please with his medal too,
So today I went back and removed 7 binliners of rubbish from thje plot including most of the shed contents. I lifted the secodary floor, put down because of a huge hole, and found another flat rat.I filled half a binliner with the contents of the floor then double bagged it. All the rubbish has been distributed over bins in the street after we filled ours to the top.
I am away for two weeksnow. The shed is empty so can air a bit, there is a gap above a panel that shoudln't be there. When I come back it will be bleached and scrubbed from top to bottom and fixed where needed. The false floor will be burnt and a new one laid. I am very happy with my tumbledown shack despite the effort required to get it up to standard.
@vulpix; I have already got weveral presents sorted. Good luck with your draws

Mrs SD, I don't think I thanked you for my gold star, which is wonderful to have. Again little decluttering, some £ as DD2 birthday and she had friends round (all going into 6th form) so lots of food decluttered. Keeping going with my list, and lots of calls re dad's personal alarm - he doesn't know it goes off, so looking at tech where the wrist band vibrates but most alarm companies don't do, RNID and others unable to help but moving forward and counting as 3 as fixed some OT/sensory visits for him.

1. KITCHEN WILL CONTINUE TO BE LEFT CLEAN & TIDY EVERY NIGHT
2. JUST DO ONE THING EVERY DAY (courtesy of bit_by_bit) OTHER THAN DAY TO DAY CLEANING & DECLUTTERING
3. ONCE A WEEK LEAVE THE HOUSE (e.g. Go into city centre for bank & butcher; go to local town for cs dropping off or buying; visit the pub with DH 😉
4. CLEAN & EMPTY SURFACE AREAS - DAILY
Finally back 😉 I did manage to find the ziplock bags 😉 & in the very first place I looked for them 🥳 Phoned plumber - he is coming on Saturday. The sun shone brightly for about 10 minutes 😁 & it didn’t rain. Dinner was sausages, mash & plum tomatoes for DSis & me. Poor DH didn’t get home until 9:55 p.m. 😱 so only had a sausage sandwich 😉 He is exhausted - 363 miles yesterday & 363 miles today but he now has all this year’s landmarks 👏 Just found out that the last ever season of TWD is only on Di*ney+Star. Very annoyed that the yanks have just gone for the money & s*d the fans but not particularly surprised 😡 Oh well, will just have to read about it 😉 as I am not paying for any more channels. Currently watching the NK decluttering programme. Wudupa.

vulpix, you made me blush ☺️ Thank you for your lovely comments 👏 Also what a great observation about the thread - we can all help each other just by posting 🙂 You live in a beautiful part of the country 😉 Putting away all the clothes in their new homes is *another opportunity to declutter 😉* leaving space for something new to you should you decide to raid the cs 😉🙂 Fingers crossed that the curtains fit 🤞 re *..* I see great minds think alike 😉 & a medal 🏅 coming your way for deciding to Tip the divan drawers rather than keeping them as Justin’s 🙂😉 Hope you have a lovely time dining out with friends 🙂 and enjoy your shopping adventure 🙂
Well done Rootle 👏 you are getting back into the swing of decluttering 🙂👏
Nice to see you ilovetea 👋 Great decluttering & 200 seems a very reasonable number 👏
As vulpix says how we keep a tally is an individual thing & I will add the emoji 😀 (for vulpix) 😉 You are definitely on a roll ilovetea 👏
The shoes sound beautiful newlywed 🙂 I hope the debating to declutter pile is not too large 😉
GrannyKate what a pain in the buttski 😔 Hopefully the replacement furniture will be fit for purpose 🤞As to the car light housing you suddenly realise how many people either cannot hear or don’t listen 😡 Can I borrow your DIL?😉 Well done on decluttering the job of bush pruning 👏
Great decluttering short_bird 👏 The job sounds quite exciting & really great that you will get to meet your new colleagues in RL 🙂
bit_by_bit “Flat rats” sound like my idea of heaven 😉 Seven binliners of rubbish - wow 🤩👏 I hope you really enjoy your two weeks away - with all the work you have done you have earned it 🙂 Regardless of your shed being a ‘tumbledown shack’ it will be lovely & well cared for by the time you have finished 😅
You are welcome TC77 🙂 Belated birthday greetings to DD2 🎂 & I bet you were wondering where the years had gone 😉😉 Good luck with finding a vibrating personal alarm 🤞Any chance you can design one or know someone who can 😉 Well done on organising OT/sensory visits for your dad 👏

Not much decluttering gone on, apart from 300 miles to visit DS2 & DDiL and do some touristy stuff, did almost 36,000 steps over 2 days and spent a large sum of £s for dinner with them & my brother last night. A bit more touristing today before a quick visit to a friend and then home.
I have realised that I need to review my clothes & shoes for the return to work, so that's on my list of tasks for the autumn evenings.2021 Decluttering Awards: ⭐⭐🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇 2022 Decluttering Awards: 🥇

Better start to day as car fixed although I managed to fall flat on my face at tip. No injuries other than to pride.
1435 - Car light cover replaced which was broke by person fitting new bulb. It's been a long wait.
1436 - Car load of prunings to tip (helped by very nice gentleman)
1437 - Ink cartridge to recycling bin at tip
1438 - Other oddments to tip
1439 - Quiz done and recycled
1440 - Sandals binned - today was about the 5th time I'd fallen over when the ends bend back.
Got some good YS greengages and mushrooms at Mr M. They are now digging up my road as part of telecoms 'improvements' - they have left a right mess of patchworks throughout village so I expect my road will be the same. I don't need to go out again today which is just as well as it would be a struggle to get in and out of our cul de sac.2025 Decluttering Campaign 648/2025 🏅🏅🏅🏅(🏅🏅) 🌟🌟

@TC77 in regards to your dads falls and him not knowing about the alarms, not sure if you are aware that appl3 watches can do the same, they vibrate and also talk. Might be worth borrowing one before the need to purchase if dad can feel and understand it.

@2Scratters thank you, I'll look into it, it may be beyond him and me! I've found some tech and asking social services.
Given up on getting clutter out at the moment except for the rare thing

I dropped off a bag to a charity shop today, although I did buy a skirt and a dress from a charity shop too. I also went into B&M and bought about £20 of stuff but it was mainly all food and household items.:)
