Thanks Mrs SD - I have put in a complaint to BG which I will follow up with a letter. It will be 8 weeks before I get any response apparently!!! I will wait and see if they turn up this week before writing my letter but I have made notes.
The savings look better than they are in reality but I have left them in signature to remind me that I had saved in the last 5 months roughly the same as I have spent in unscheduled expenditure (DS2's car and computer) - will set it back to more realistic figure next month. The Christmas savings I am pleased about as that is now half of what I will need in cash to put in cards for family. Returned lampshade yesterday with no problems but did spend £1.50 on jigsaw at charity shop for DGS4.

Mrs_Salad_Dodger said:Have taken note of the paracetamol trick, Wednesday2000. I will suggest it to my DSis as she did have a reaction to her 1st jab. Have you picked out your outfit for your night out?
I just cleaned up the cat's room (our second bedroom!) a little bit and I need to do some vacuuming when I get home. The new cat litter tray is much better than the old one but cat litter still goes on the floor.12 -
Went through my recipe files (“display folders” with plastic pockets in). Took out all the ones that realistically I will never do. Too much faff etc. Should really condense it into recipes that I actually cook.... but perhaps another day!
planning to visit the clothing bank tomorrow to deposit 2 unwanted coats and a pair of boots.working on clearing the clutterDo I want the stuff or the space?12 -
Magazines decluttered (4) and any rubbish post that came through the door. Tomorrow's lunch and dinner is organised.
Missed a driving test booking today as I was helping someone else with a problem. (that will teach me 😂)
Clothing still remains an issue - but I will watch one of these minimalist year round wardrobe on YT for some inspiration. I'm sure I have enough variety still in there to do something like this. Plenty of swimwear, shorts, belts, bags and shoes and occasion wear so it's just the day to day clothing I lack.
Didn't get round to sorting the jewellery but made £26.20 from fleaBay after post and fees. Already thinking about what to do with it as I have pots for everything else. Has motivated me though to put some more bits on. Might try to make enough to have the car serviced but that doesn't really feel like a treat.
Did some more life admin and just the pension paperwork still to do.
Deleted and unsubscribed from emails but not a lot as its so tedious I've really not the patience for it.
Hope everyone is doing well.

1. KITCHEN WILL CONTINUE TO BE LEFT CLEAN & TIDY EVERY NIGHT2. JUST DO ONE THING EVERY DAY (courtesy of bit_by_bit) OTHER THAN DAY TO DAY CLEANING & DECLUTTERING
3. ONCE A WEEK LEAVE THE HOUSE (e.g. Go into city centre for bank & butcher; go to local town for cs dropping off or buying; visit the pub with DH 😉
Tuesday was a lovely day - lots of sunshine & the wind wasn’t as strong or chilly as it has been 🙂 DH set off on the Harley about 8:00 a.m. - a whole day of Round Britain Rallying -headed off to Derbyshire with a stop to collect pre-ordered Bakewell Tarts 😋👏🙂 He phoned several times to let me know his progress. DH got home just after 6:30 p.m. He was absolutely knackered & had got caught in the rain/hailstorms several times but only a few minutes at a time 👏
J the builder was on his own but made great progress on the wall - he does work like a Trojan 😉
I did a few bits - watered the seedlings, made soup, watered indoor plants, spent a couple of hours sorting paperwork.Dinner was Chinese delivery - ate half with half for tomorrow 😋
Btw, DSis discovered that our new lady fox has SIX Cubs - not the 3 we thought she had 😉 no wonder she looks so skinny 😱
957 - 965 Kitchen recycling, drinks cans, small glass bottle, paper packaging, 2 cardboard boxes, 1” paperwork, 2 accounts books - recycled
966 - 968 Kitchen detritus, lr detritus, 1” shredding - binned
Good work villagelife 👏 but please take care of your back 😉
Great work EnergyShifter 👏 especially the practice beanie 🙂 Are you knitting a pattern or just knit & purl stitches? I also liked the ‘deferred decisions’ definitely reads better than ‘I was lazy’ 🤣Good work GrannyKate 👏 I have always found that putting pen to paper is so much more satisfying when making a complaint 😉 Shame that your savings have taken a hit due to unexpected expenditures ☹️Wednesday2000, you might have to treat yourself to a new outfit from the cs when you drop off the donation bag 🙂Well done newlywed 👏 My problem is cookery books 😔 - I still have quite a few but only ever use 2 or 3 recipes from each one or go to the net 😉
Great work moneyonmymindsam 👏 One medal 🏅 coming your way for helping someonewhen you had the opportunity to take your driving test 👏 I agree with you that a car service doesn’t seem like much of a treat but remember when the car is serviced you will be able to go out safely 😉 & treat yourself to a day out 🙂MrsSD 🏅🏅🏅🏅🏅 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️Decluttering Target: 2021 968/20212021 Savings Pot: £41.00 to end of MarchBe Kind. Good Morning all,
Mr SD could have driven past me yesterday Mrs SD whilst I was out n about! I find Bakewell pudding very sweet,I couldn't eat too many !
I read but don't always have time to post so sorry if I don't comment on things I ought to.
The glasses and wedding. My son gets married next month but sadly doesn't need glasses. All my worldly kitchen goods are still on display on the kitchen worktops.
Monday I had a visitor, yesterday I was at work, Today a man coming to do an energy report, dentist and visit my Mum. Tomorrow a man to do a house survey. Friday, step sons garden, Saturday visit to Oxford to drop wedding stuff off. Day of rest Sunday. In between times I hope to at least pack some stuff in boxes. Maybe some of the glasses could go. Not only do I have champagne flutes but wine glasses ,tumblers and whiskey size glasses in quantity .Plus all the odds and sods in daily use. I have a glass issue for sure. If 100 people suddenly drop by I could give them all a drink.
I had a big sort out at work yesterday, threw a lot of stuff out, moved like with like. Sorted out a curtain to cover messy shelves which are on view to the public. I am nervous about going back to work next week. It is going to be manic. Most people are lovely but not all.
Couple more items sold, just need time to list more, perhaps later tonight. I also have plants to plant out. I also need to stop scoffing and loose some weight.

Thank you for my medal @Mrs_Salad_Dodger very much appreciated.
I cleaned and tided yesterday not that it looks any better or makes much difference but old places are like that aren't they. I really ought to do the skirting boards today. The bag for charity is ever growing but I do find myself rummaging through so the quicker it's gone the better.
Work shifts have been set to 4 days a week they are long and late but it might be nice to have 3 days off hopefully I will not be too worn out to enjoy the days.
Need to book the clearance man for mum's again - we do 95 percent of the work ourselves and keep recycling as much as we can to keep all costs low. So far we've only spent £130 which isn't bad from a 3 bed house. Hopefully the final clear will also be a small amount and we have been offsetting things from the home in exchange for clearance of other items.
I am getting tired with everything going on so it will be nice in a few months to not have to do all of the continuing travel. Next job is to market plus ones (which needs a fair bit of work) so I will try to set a time frame of end July to get this done.

Hi everyone, finally have something to report
. My son helped me to declutter my bedroom and I am thrilled that 5 black bags of lumpy pillows, too short nighties and assorted elderly lotions and potions have been removed plus a huge cardboard box full of under bed storage containers has been recycled. It feels so much lighter and brighter in there now and I am hoping it will help me sleep better. I also stripped off the old bedding and my husband is going to put new bumble bee bedding back on it
.
I am going to tackle the bathroom next as there is a graveyard of bottles with just the dregs in and then will gently encourage (nag) my daughter to give it a clean. I am on a roll now so this afternoon I am going to go through all my baking tins as it is impossible to get any out of the cupboard easily as they are all jammed in together.
Thank you everyone for your tales of decluttering, they have really encouraged me to go for it x13 -
I woke up in a ruthless mood this morning. I didn't take the donation bag yesterday so I added a lot more stuff. I had four books, a necklace, a beauty face mask with the two coats and three tops.
I also used up some serum I didn't like as body lotion after my bath today.2025 GOALS
