Afternoon Beautiful people,
Hope everyone is well, wow to absolutely all of us being so busy.
Feel sick about job but will give it a go (just in training for the next week or two) but the plus side is being at home temporarily so an easier
I've managed to squeeze in a driving lesson and feel fine to do my test but might squeeze in another.
Mums house is back to back with viewings and we have been answering lots of enquiries, how old is this, what make is that type thing which is driving me nuts.
I have been drowning in life admin so nearly there with all that just have to go to the post office later today.
Not going to lie am absolutely shattered.
Started to shove things in spaces I've decluttered so I'm in reverse.

Hello fellow declutterers.Out today a pair of DH's Sunday socks and a pair of my white sparkly gloves which had gone a bit bobbly with no elastic left in the cuffs. Also gone a pair of kn*ckers, also with no elastic left
4 plastic beakers, used by the DGC when they were small now redeployed to the shed to hold glue.
Emptied the fridge of bits and bobs to use as toppings for a pizza yesterday, interesting combination but all edible. Cleaned the kitchen floor of the bits of pastry that had escaped while making the sausage rolls which sadly won't make as far as the freezer 🤤 ( MrsSD you are welcome to a sausage roll but you'd better be quick, they are going like hot cakes 🍰 🤣 )Sorry haven't read back, the thread goes too quick for me to keep up. I'm more slug like than tortoise nowadays, in everything, so I shall send hugs and love to anyone in need.nanFailure is simply the opportunity to begin again, but this time more intelligently10 -
TC77 said:@Gers - our charity for people who are homeless or refugees takes used things but says should be clean , serviceable and you would accept yourself. I've given households goods but also stationary as some will be studying/kids at schoolYes, I wouldn't dream of giving them horrid things. There's glass bowls and glass dishes which are still lovely, hardly used. I've given a neighbour the set of mini springforms, something I'd love to keep but know that I wouldn't use them.I've got two bin bags full of stuff which is immediately heading for the bin. Plastic colanders, probably about 20 years old etc. Boxes without lids, lids without boxes and three old fridge drawers which were used to store stuff.I'm taking a break from the kitchen by scanning into the laptop most of the contents of umpteen photo albums. DM began to sift through them all, removing unwanted ones and giving me the remainder to scan. She soon became too exhausted by that so I'm now scannning in everything! I've made folders so they all go into one. It's probable that she won't look at them anymore than she did when they were in albums. The pastime is peaceful if repititive.10

Child minding so not much declutter and clean other than picking things up and following children round. We've had 2 lovely trips out locally in the sun - it was warmer today - they are fast asleep now.
727-728 notebooks x 2 - these are the small pads the larger notebooks are going much more slowly a page at a time
729 - interesting old postcard scanned and shared with an archivist - they didn't have in their collection so I have now sent it to them. No idea of family connection - in grandma's papers - but it has permanent home where it will be appreciated
730 Birthday card posted
731 A few emails deleted but inbox has a few that need dealing with - probably Thursdays job when small people have gone home

@Gers I know you would not give horrible stuff. I sometimes have to check myself as there are things I will use or keep but realise that they're not good for someone else. And probably not.good for me.

I didn't think I would do any decluttering today but I just got out the worm treatment for my pets and realised there was stuff I needed to get rid of in the same box.
I have two furminators which I don't even need as I don't have my long haired cat anymore. I threw one away and kept one just in case I do get another cat in the future. I threw away an old bowl, a dog whistle a comb and an old bleach bottle too.
Actually I am going to throw away the other furminator too as I don't think my cat even liked it.
I am also using up some food today as we have a delivery later. Leftovers for lunch.10 -
I went through my fridge and threw away a few things, including some veg that did not look like I wanted to eat it. I deep cleaned my fridge afterwards. It was quite gross when I looked at properly without much food in there. I will have to do that more often!2025 GOALS
