I like an empty cupboard. Vulpix I may have good intentions about the notebooks but I found another stash this week and while I am quietly using up the ones on the desk there are others breeding in dark corners waiting for me.
I went for my 2nd jab this afternoon and had a quick flit round the nearby MrT - not exciting but I got a ys beef stroganoff which I had for tea. Parcels eventually collected at 4.40 by charming young man who was most apologetic about coming so late. (I had waited in from 8am)
I got started on the 2 boxes which came in from the cabin and much of 1 box went to recycling. The remainder transferred to the 'like with like' boxes. I think I will end up with 6 of those which I then need to find a permanent solution for. Started with more than 20 boxes I think. I have set aside space in my wardrobe for things my children may like to keep - it will be up to them but there is a labelled box each and I now have a box with a few oddments to pass to my siblings families. I have fitted wardrobes and my clothes are pared down to what I actually wear so there is quite a bit of space in there now DH is no longer with me - boxes are out of sight but only used for their specific purpose. Oh well it keeps me happy.

1. KITCHEN WILL CONTINUE TO BE LEFT CLEAN & TIDY EVERY NIGHT2. JUST DO ONE THING EVERY DAY (courtesy of bit_by_bit) OTHER THAN DAY TO DAY CLEANING & DECLUTTERING
3. CLEAN ONE ROOM (TOP TO BOTTOM) EVERY MONTH (hopefully 3 weekly by the end of the year)
Friday was a gloriously sunny day which was just as well as DH had decided to visit his grandfather’s grave in Kent + pop into his sister’s for a socially distanced visit 🙂 He was lucky enough to see his sister, brother-in-law, niece, a great nephew & a great, great nephew. Spent
4 hours there then took 3 hours (usually 50 - 60 mins) getting home - a car had burst into flames in the Blackwall Tunnel 😱 DH got to 7 miles from home in just over 30 minutes, next 3 miles took an hour & the last 4 miles took 1.5 hours. He was not best pleased at arriving home after 9 p.m. having set off from his sister’s place at 6.00 p.m. 😡 😔
I spent the day in my usual fashion - watching films/tv series, drinking tea/coffee & playing AB2 😞 Although I did have a teeny tiny flurry of activity tidying the kitchen & dining room table 😉
Dinner was beans on toast for DSis & toast with scrambled eggs & smoked salmon for DH & me.
Wudupa.P.S. I was very sad about Prince Philip & so sad for the Queen - 73 years of marriage.
759 - 762 Kitchen recycling, 2 newspapers, drinks cans - recycled
763 Kitchen detritus - binned
Balabooberlies I certainly do not think you are mad wagging finger emoji, for not wanting to put your dogs in kennels. Dogs 🐕 like their routines & love their humans - I know we ascribe human feelings to pets but you just have to watch programmes like The Dog House to realise that this is true. Hope the doctors call came through & that everything is OK.
Good work GrannyKate 👏 & what a kind person you are for keeping items for the family for them to sort out 🙂 My seedlings/seeds are not doing too well either but they were planted outside to just take their chances 😱 More notebooks 😉 - they breed 😉 but at least you are trying to reduce them 👏 I am with you on the ‘empty cupboard’ love - I still have the empty drawer in my wall unit 🙂 Hopefully you won’t have any adverse effects from your 2nd jab. Very impressed with your box clearing & wardrobe clearance so one Gold Star ⭐️ on its way 🙂
You really have been busy mothernerd 👏 Gardening, sorting out pills crisis, decluttering etc Now I know where my mojo has gone - he has come to you 😉😉 Can I have him back when you have finished with him 🙏
Brilliant work Gers 👏 A proper pantry & you really have thrown away a lot 👏 Are you sprucing up or redecorating it? Only joking 🙃 One Gold Star ⭐️ coming your way 🙂 as you have finished the job 👏 & disposed of everything responsibly 👏 Hope your DM is as well as can be expected 🤞
Sorry to hear that the grot monster is visiting you vulpix ☹️ If you can do all that work when you are tired & useless 🤩 then I cannot imagine the amount of decluttering, tidying etc you can get through when you are fully rested 😱 Your notebook stash must bring a smile to your face when you are using them - robots & kittens - lots of happy memories 🙂 Shame about the hoover but maybe MrV can do the vacuuming with the heavier Henry 😉😉
Fingers crossed for a good night’s sleep TC77 🤞Good work on the decluttering 👏
Good work HappyKitties 👏 & good luck with your race to 200 🤞
Great work bit_by_bit 👏 You must be looking forward to getting back into the cs 😉 & thank you for being a volunteer 👏

It feels good to have it all behind me. And, no chance! I've found a photo dated 1989 of the 'new kitchen' and it hasn't changed at all, even down to the washing machine. Once the flat becomes mine it'll be for sale so it's not worth doing anything to it. It'll need a full rewire too. Only the bathroom is up to modern standards as the bath was replaced with a walk-in shower a number of years ago. I'm looking forward to getting back to my own home whilst not wishing for it to be too soon.Photo albums are being cleared out too, most photos are getting scanned and saved onto DM's laptop. The empty albums will go to a CS when they re-open.I awarded myself a sneaky Chinese takeaway and a glass of wine last night.11
