Wishing Freda a speedy recovery, sounds like a good (if expensive) vet.
Had a relaxing weekend, and so much leave in Feb and March that back to work seems abit daunting.
Nothing out but some admin tasks
731 cancelled autorenew breakdown cover and bought much cheaper
734 - 735 moved couple of things forward
736 - small bits out from room, and furniture rearranged so can get in and out and through to the garden!
737 - 738 socks recycled

Freda had only been a few days out of hibernation and was attacked while wandering in the garden in the daytime. She has been put into a secure place at night ever since she moved to live with my granddaughter.
It will be a while before she can leave the house now, and she won't be left alone while in the garden again. Most of her life she had been left to wander in her previous garden and went into to hibernation by herself every year. Not Rachmaninov

A quick check on insurance for tortoises shows you can pay around £4 a month, which covers £2500 of treatment. At the moment we haven't quite reached that figure, but not that far off.
I've just read that since restaurants have been closed during lockdown, rats are not getting kitchen scraps as usual and are looking for other sources of food and more tortoises are suffering because of this. Not Rachmaninov

454-456 bags of rubbish from the garden thrown away. Loads more of these to throw. DH seems to feel a skip is needed and I think we can get rid off without a skip especially as neighbour will take the odd thing to a skip if he has one at work!
457 magazine recycled.

Morning all. Like a lot of people round our way, we took the opportunity of a long weekend to do a bit of spring cleaning - the house is spotless (almost!, if you ignore the drawers where I was just stuffing things into!) Really pleased with what we achieved and hope we can now stay on top of things a bit more. DH also continued his clearing of the garage so we made a few trips to the local recycling centre again; the queue was huge on Saturday and most people had garden waste so those bins got full quickly and then we had to wait while they swapped them out. Just need to try and slowly start working through the decluttering now - have set myself the challenge of decluttering t-shirts and jumpers this month as well as my desk drawers. If I can get those done then I may have the confidence to tackle the dresses in May (I have A LOT of dresses in my wardrobe because my default workwear is a nice dress, tights and a cardigan...)

Hi All, hope you are all well and had a lovely Easter!
Sorry I’ve been MIA for a while. I got stuck back in one of my usual cycles- became complacent, procrastinated (cos the mess will obviously fix itself!) then got completely overwhelmed by it all. The house has just got very untidy again in places and I’ve just been putting off and putting off. Have written a short list for today and will try again! A watch and a bundle of packaging that I’ve been tripping over in my room for nearly 3 weeks 🙈 out so far.
I’ve over 100 posts to catch up on so I will try but it does feed my procrastination!
Have a lovely day xxx15 -
Hi I am home,
Wow everyone is doing so well and so much going on.
Absolutely loads gone and there was me thinking there wasn't that much to go and it ended up being a quarter of a garage, old fridge plus 2 sacks of clothes to recycling bank.
We were so unlucky as there was a leak, and electrics blew and hoover gave up the ghost. At least we were there when this happened as could have been awful.
Almost got home and think we got "caught" son dual carriageway (think we may have been doing 54 in a 50 speed zone) so will wait and see if we get a letter.
Garden jungle waste gone too and everything garden wise is sparkling and ready to spring.
Brought a little stuff home to sort but can't face it today 😂
Hopeful that's all our bad luck in one go.

This morning I took the unwanted cooking oil across the city to the recycling centre, along with a large number of glass jars and bottles. The large blue recycling bag, cardboard, paper etc, also got emptied. When I got back here DM had been sent a big plant from a friend, this was in a huge cardboard box which took ages to cut up as there was a separate, yet joined up, box at the bottom for the decorative pot. now the large blue recycling bag is full again!I may make a start on the stuff from shelf three which is taking up the whole of the kitchen table.Reading about everyone's efforts is really motivating so thanks for sharing it all.13
