Two days of child minding so not much done as one off school due to covid in class. Will put the house back together in the morning. Might take myself for a short local drive and perhaps walk somewhere in the afternoon whilst local children still at school. It'll be too busy at the weekend. I've reluctantly decided that the gremlins in my computer are probably fatal and when I checked it is nearly 8 years old. On line it says after 5-7 years iMac may need replacing so guess I have to bite the bullet and get DS2 and lovely brother on the case. I do like the Mac but probably don't need as high a spec as late DH bought with this one.

Washed bedding and line dried it. Also put the heavy wooly quilt thing on the line. It doesn't fit in the washing machine so I put it outside on good days to let it freshen up (and sponge any marks off it). Gathered 24 buckets and large plant pots (large ones are 30 and 40 litre ones, tiny ones are 10 litres). A few were empty, most were full or partly filled. So all soil went in the builders bag and any containers that were too big/ heavy to move - all filled to the brim. Have done a little digging and am on my 6th or 7th bucket (was using them in clumps and then consolidating the contents afterwards. Was thinking about going back out but think I'm done for the day.
Kept coming inside to drink water and have done puzzles, finished a book and watched some 'A Slob Comes Clean' videos plus about an hour of Torchwood. Old bathmats have been binned and nearly filled that bin bag plus a bag of paper (going through old notebooks). Current total 782/ 2021.My mission in life is not only to survive, but to thrive and to do so with some Passion, some Compassion, some Humour and some Style.NST SEP No 1 No Debt No mortgage8 -

It's been at least a couple of weeks since I posted. Not sure why I haven't.
My neighbours have moved and someone new has moved in. I feel so much better as the old neighbour was toxic and had a black cloud over him.
I have spent time tidying and clearing as have more energy and inclination to do it now.

Good morning all. I came to a standstilllast week as have had a rotten cold combined with hay fever so very little done so far in my annual leave 😕 I did have a charity collection of a bag of clothes that I have stored in the loft as they haven’t fit me for a few years - I also sent a suitcase and matching carry on bag that I have had for a very long time and don’t need any more. If I had planned it better I could have filled them up with more stuff to send but I wasn’t feeling well enough to climb into the eaves cupboards. That’s a job I really want to tackle before I go back to work next week. I am sure there are books in there I don’t need and all sorts. Will update when I’ve got it all out!
car went for a service and they didn’t clean it - so disappointed. So I cleaned the inside yesterday and DH was out there at 8 this morning washing the outside 👍
I collected my lovely new (to me) storage shelves I won on auction site. Had to wait until stay at home order finished as it was a further drive than I thought. But even if I say so myself, looks stunning in the play area and houses LO colouring and sticker books, puzzles games and a few toys.
they all used to live in a big pile down the side of the sofa so this is a big improvement and LO is delighted 😊. I play the Dave Moran tidy up song on you Tube and she puts everything neatly away. Amazing.
I have a hundred or more CDs to do something with they are sitting in a cupboard under the stairs. Slowly things are improving.DH mentioned painting the shed as the weather is so improved. I hope he doesn’t procrastinate too long as that would be nice. He filled 2 green bins of garden waste, so it’s looking better out there.
I still haven’t cleaned the windows.....
wish me luck with actually getting stuff done today. I’ve been reading the thread and some great activity happenening well done to all 👏14 -
I will have a go at 333 clothes. So first I need to do the ironing pile. I don't iron very many things but there are some summer tops in the pile from last summer! Only about 8 items to iron all told.
First I will get myself outside to enjoy the weather. Today I will empty my 2 sheds and have a change round. At the back door I have a sentry box with gardening stuff in and empty jam jars in the little top cupboard. I will store logs for the log burner in there and have a cull of the jam jars.
My other shed is a woodstore with doors iykwim. Out will come the big garden table and chairs and in,the old double glazed unit for the French doors and my gardening things.
Someone is coming today to collect some huge garden planters. Not mine but Step son was going to take them to the tip. In for me is a very good quality metal garden arch. I have no clue where I will put it but I can't give it away as he wanted me to have it. Also to come from him some very large terracotta planters and a lovely wooden bird table. Oh I also saved some bird feeders from the tip and a lovely old galvanised watering can.. He has bought his Grandma's house and is clearing the garden to build a garage.
Thank you for the advice on the signature. It is on my to do list !
We are having a new loft ladder fitted tomorrow so when the weather turns I will get up there and have a sort out. Only about 1/4 of the loft is studio, the rest storage. A lot of the stuff belongs to DS and DD2. Both should buy a house this year all being well It will go. Oher stuff is for a carboot and the rest we actually want. My furniture projects mostly.
138. Trousers,massive
139. Top I bought at Christmas which I burned a hole in having a bonfire at step sons .Grrr

Well the gremlins ate my post but I had copied the text so can repost. Need to do that regularly now as computer is definitely on its way out.
Vulpix - its not just you - I have a collection of cotton shirts that I use for holidays and they tend to stay in ironing basket for months afterwards along with large tablecloths used at Christmas.Plans changed for today as DIL called in to work to cover sickness so I have GD4 here. Reading all the posts about 333 clothes I was encouraged to revisit my bedroom cupboards and clean out and sort again.
620-629 Cleared folders full of photography related items, training courses etc for late DH (mentally quite hard to do but if I am getting new computer these need to go)
630-634 Case locks x 5 to charity bag - if I didn't need 11 suitcases I certainly don't need 9 locks
635 Bundle of coat hangers to bin
636-642 Clothes items x 7 to charity bag - most not worn for at least 2 years
643 Box of ornamental masks (tourist stuff from Far East) DH used to have them in his study but they give me the creeps
644-645 Small camera bags to charity shop x 2
646-647 T shirt full of holes and pair socks binned
648-649 Wellie and boot socks x 2 in charity bag2025 Decluttering Campaign 648/2025 🏅🏅🏅🏅(🏅🏅) 🌟🌟

I don’t have an ironing pile... clothes are put away when dry and ironed as and when they want to be worn... many years back, I once went through ironing my entire (overly packed) wardrobe and by the time I wanted to wear clothes they were creased again so it was a waste of time.
Large bhf parcel dropped to newsagent for collect+
and I found a council clothes bank just 5 mins down the road, so will sort out a load of the cheaper clothes and post them straight in there - hurrah!
I will have more room in the bottom of my wardrobe very soon!working on clearing the clutterDo I want the stuff or the space?13
