10 items gone, including a bag of teatowels to OH who needed some and another bag of table linens etc for him to look through.
Have emptied another box and put everything into its relevant categories to be sorted out that way. Sadly the reading pile has grown massively in size again, just as I thought I was beginning to see the end of it. Sigh. Looking on the bright side, it will bump my numbers up when I get sorting it (which will be a few weeks away as I have some important admin tasks to do first which will use my limited brain power up).

With sunny, dry, warm weather , DH and I have been working hard in the garden and the flowers are blooming/ Here daffodils , muscari, hyacinth s multiply like mad and that's great as it is very MSE and also saves work. I've also been going through the fabric stash and airing stuff every day and viewing it all with a view to decluttering. However, only two fabric samples so far although I went through all my skirts and two are to go. Now for a little story. I have two bedside cabinets with drawers that now sit back to back as a mind of mini chest of drawers. Three drawers are underwear drawers, one for bras, one for pants and one for socks. I had started to think that they might be aging as they are being opened all the time whereas the other three are opened infrequently. So I decided to swop all the contents from one chest to the other. Bad mistake. The bras swopped nicely and quickly with my stash of thick tights in packets( I know, I know). Socks swopped nicely too. Then disaster. I emptied out the contents of the haberdashery drawer into the bed and swopped in the pants. Then I tried to get all the haberdashery back in and it wouldn't all fit in. Some of the stuff is still lying around on top of the wee chests but I need to start again and this time I will put it all in a box!
So totals so far.
2 fabric samples
2 skirts
1 blouse
1 pair new leggings (!)
6 books
All for the CS
So 189 + 12=201
So, hugs for you all and thanks for such lovely posts, fellow declutterers,
Keep safe everyone.10 -

Filled all 24 buckets (was up to 6/ 7 yesterday). Found a few along the way that had a couple of inches space at the top (they had overwintering lettuce in but they've now all been eaten, either by me or the slugs). Later on I went back out, now actively searching for any bucket, plant pot or tub with any space in. Managed to squeeze 9 small buckets worth into the builders' bag (by holding a side up and pouring/ shaking it down into any little gaps), more into the large oblong planters, topped up several buckets of stones to free up another couple. Now have 20 empty buckets to start off tomorrow (think that may be enough, I am nearly where I want to be). There may be a couple more but the tubs were at the back of the side bed by the fence and was frightened of falling over trying to get at them.
Came in, showered and scrubbed my fingernails, cleaned the shower screen before I got out. So tired I struggled to get my knee high enough to crawl onto the bed. Didn't get to go to town, may go first thing - the shop I most need to visit is open at 8.30 am and I can be in and out and back home. If not, I'll have to manage - April is use it up, make it myself or do without. My mission in life is not only to survive, but to thrive and to do so with some Passion, some Compassion, some Humour and some Style.NST SEP No 1 No Debt No mortgage9 -
Cleared the weeds out of the raised bed. Must work out what to plant this year. Two forgotten chard plants are still growing well. Might plant some more of those. Tomato seedlings are in the kitchen. No foxes will be able to get at them this year (we have put heavy lids on the raised bed) so hopefully we will get a better crop this year.We only have a small space though, and last year the courgette plant took up a third of the space and the snails seemed to get to the courgettes before we could!working on clearing the clutterDo I want the stuff or the space?10

Wow, great amount of clearing going on. I have been over the allotment the last few days on and off plus some chores. I am making visible progress there after a long time of nothing happening.
DH kindly took the spare matress to MiL so one large item out.
With my work vouchers I treated myself to a dremel to do some small repairs and play with. There is nothing else I wanted. I have another voucher to spend from the hospital, a reward for 35 years service. This will get me a new electric toothbrush. The dentist visit didn't go so well. Big plans afoot in the back garden. DD1 is coming to help me on Saturday. I designed and made the garden when we moved here. The space was full of broken glass and concrete and junk. There was also no soil. I built walls, laid stone flags, planted perennial flowers but it just isn't quite right. It needs some height along the back fence.Everything was done for about £200. I think a trip to garden centre is called for and some money spent. I am not a big lover of shrubs but needs must. DD1 and I will move a lot of flagstones about to make larger planting areas .
Had a bit of a tinker in my clothes drawers in readyness for 333. Some more rejects found. Drawers actually close easily these days.
I enjoy reading everyones posts. Thank you.

Wow, a couple of days and so much to catch up with!Mrs SD, thankyou for my Gold Star. Nice to get a pat on the head for something, especially as I`ve had a horrible falling out with DD, have since tried phoning a few times but not answering, then got a snotty e-mail...now leaving the ball in her court for when she stops winding herself up, she knows where I am...not the first time, but still it`s just extra carp we can both do without.BitbyBit, I do so agree with you about getting on with what you CAN do/HAVE to do, when life doesn`t turn out as planned. I have had breast cancer twice (2 completely separate things ten years apart, the last 9 years ago, both those tumours successfully decluttered and a lot of silly attitude to life decluttered at the same time. Coming out of the other side of all that makes you appreciate some things and realise the unimportance of other things.Newlywed, re Ironing - if your washer isn`t over full and you only put it on when you`re going to be there to empty/shake/hang stuff as soon as the machine stops there`s hardly ever the need to iron at all. I only iron when I`m sewing.I found a stash of old paperwork from work - hospital stuff, mandatory training notes, new equipment training handouts and the like, all out of date now but because it`s just possible there`d be anything more confidential I`ve had to go through it all carefully, so that`s been more time and less clearance to show for it. I also found a 3-layer stacking cake container that was full of odds and ends I`d collected years ago for eldest DGD`s dolls house dressing, mostly rejects at the time but kept `just in case`. A lot of very small rubbish, but just a handful of nice little dolls and bits given to next door for her DGD. I`m going to use the cake container for packet spices as I have loads of varied unopened bags that keep falling off a shelf in the spare room and badly need organising.I`ve also decluttered 2 chicken carcasses and made a stock, picked the meaty bit and cooked the veg in it, just have to chuck in some spuds later and the last of the chicken meat for tonight.Sat outside for an hour yesterday, looking at aggressive brambles advancing where they shouldn`t be, and intend to deal with them very soon. I`m just scared that once I start outside I`ll lose impetus indoors, and I`m trying to make the most of my deadline for the engineers visit a week tomorrow. I want to move some of DS`s stuff, at least stack some of his boxes, that`ll make a big visual difference and I can then move stuff from living room to spare room. I`ll do a bit today, the timer is a great help so I`ll be using that - it`s encouraging to see how much you can do in 15 minute bursts.12
