Happy days. Even though the chazzers are shut, the new shop opening in town, managed to catch a lady working in it the other day who will happily accept donations. Planning on using this bank holiday weekend to really fill up a couple of boxes of donations to drop off to them next weekDecluttering challenge 2023🏅⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Thankyou @Emm-in-a-pickle. The life I have had I have had to learn to accept, my word for the year I think, or go under. Hope your health is alright now.
I also agree with your attitude to ironong. I haven't ironed for years. One of the thuings I have let go for my mental health. Now the stresses have gone I might do a bit when I get new clothes in the year.
Nothing decluttered today, yet. I am about to hit upstairs after clearing the lounge. That only took a few mins now I have a lot less furniture.

Evening MrsSD and fellow declutterers from a chilly East Lancashire. Not good weather at all for planting, all our tomato plants (12 of them 😄) are huddled together indoors on our bay window sill keeping warm and growing! So far so good. Some of them will need to be decluttered soon to our local gardening group. Anyway, back to the subject of my post. The new bath screen has been fitted today, bit of a drama with the screen which I went for originally, it didn't fit the profile of the bath, so our bathroom fitter sourced an alternative one. Hopefully, it won't cost that much too extra for materials and labour. More declutter (cardboard) and packaging thrown away or recycled. Our blue recycling bin is full to the brim and collection day is a week on Monday ☹️ plan is to declutter and spring clean the bathroom on Easter Monday. Will report back on progress early next week. Have a good Easter, cheers 🙂13

Just sticking my head back into this thread to report that I've made a start on my DM's pantry-of-doom. From one shelf I have 43 bottles / jars / tubes of OOD stuff to dispose of. Various oils (avacado to pumkin oils and numerous vegetable / olive oils), more jars of mustards than you'd ever need and different sauces etc. The oldest items were a jar of mustard dated BBE June 1998 and a packet of sun-dried tomatoes BBE 2002 1992.It's good to make a start although it'll be a long job. I can't pour the bottles of oil down the sink so they'll all have to go to the tip as they are. The local council recycling centre doesn't have a facility for oil. We're all doing a grand job even if it is a bit soul destroying to see all the foodstuffs being binned.15

Gosh so much going on, with the garden being a feature and the 333 clothes project. Saw my dad cut his hair 9 (701) and got hie to throw some things out, (found 16 packets of diabetic sweets bb 2010 - the year my mum died (they were hers), made me think I don't want the same amount of stuff to have to be sorted through! I did bring back speakers for the 70s music centre I rescued from him last time- just need the right cables.
702 things out at my dad's
next day woke up at home with horrendous tummy ache and spent the last 3 days of my leave in bed - so plans to paint furniture etc all cancelled. On the mend. Had mattress and sofa and chair delivered (old second hand to me sofas to get rid of) - love what I've bought but not sure colours go together. DD2 did comment ' mum you're abit of a hoarder' which was abit of a wake up call.
703-704 dartboard and bedside table collected
705 top to CS bag.
F*cycle open now so posted sofa on it, and a couple of things on *bay but when CS hope I'll just take stuff there.
706 -707 packaging recycled.15 -
Back to work today on the drawers of doom. The bedroom is in a mess and that encouraged me. The only way to get everything in was to .....wait for it.....declutter to make room and 're-categorise the contents. My only two dressing patterns are now in the chocolate box( decluttered the scrumptious eggs already!) side on in a bookshelf. The eggs from chocolate hotel! and a tin of shortbread are an Easter gift from DS. They came in only 5 days from England with their customs declaration so I hope , Mrs. SD, that your gifts arrived safely. That left one pattern for CS. Then two more pairs of tights still in their wrappings again for the CS. A bit more reorganisation and now the bedroom looks a lot better. But more needs done . I'll leave the drawers for a day or two. I need to think a bit about forever homes for some of the stuff in them
We are now in a short lockdown so the CS trip will have to wait and I still have earlier stuff waiting to go. I'm very MSE about not going on journeys for one job. Ah well.
Hugs for you all and keep safe everyone.
1 pattern
2 tights

Busy few days here, it's amazing what you can get done when you don't have to go to work!
Very occasionally I decide to try and sell something rather than just listing it on the local free fb site...9 times out of 10 it ends up being more hassle than it's worth!
Still, a whole load of kids colouring books, a pile of wood, a variety of random bits from the garage collected. A car seat and steam cleaner taken to MIL for storage and a pile more things ready for people to collect tomorrow sorted. Getting there slowly!
