Not sure if I can count the removal of cob webs as decluttering? I must have giant invisible spiders as I never see them just the large webs 😳 I am counting the last of the Christmas cake
just some minor sorting today I tidied the bedside drawers, goodness knows what the playing cards were doing there! Over half of the contents were either thrown away or reallocated to their correct homes
I added the outside bin store onto the list of areas to declutter, I know the garden centre the other side of town recycles pots so those not needed for seeds next year can be taken there. I also decided that most of the kitchen stuff pushed to the back of the cupboard is probably not needed and the space could be used better.
I've read that Currys recycle small electric goods, not sure if they are open at the moment but I'll check if that is correct as it will save a trip to the tip for a couple of broken items as you now have to queue for over a hourLife shrinks or expands in proportion to one's courage - Anais Nin13 -

I decluttered our office Christmas tree today, and sorted out the stationery cupboard too, binning envelopes with no sticky and returning surplus kit to the IT team. I also helped to empty the Quality Street tin 😁2021 Decluttering Awards: ⭐⭐🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇 2022 Decluttering Awards: 🥇

@Mrs_Salad_Dodger I’m physically able bodied and fit enough to get into the loft but I’m feart of heights and ladders! Will need husband to help. He can have hoarding tendencies so isn’t the best decluttering companion. Even worse, he has become quite ruthless at suggesting decluttering my things without applying this new enthusiasm to his own!! He’s decided that he dislikes the pushchair “cluttering up the front hall” and has now suggested about 10 times we could get rid - I have a just turned two year old 😂Part time working mum | Married in 2014 | DS born 2015 & DD born 2018

Hi All, I'd love to join in please.
I don't know about setting a target ,but whilst looking for info on deceased brothers shares I managed to incinerate 35 years of pay slips and end of year bumpf. Plus mortgage statements from a house we owned in 1984 and the one I sold after DH died in 2016!
Oh my goodness it feels better, even though I haven't found the info I need .
Does cleaning ,sanding and oiling kitchen worktops count as de-clutter?
I've destashed my yarn heap by knitting a multistrand cwtchy blanket as a Christmas present for DD and 2 cushions to go with it,and I've started another one ,for me!
My 11 year old grand-daughter had a sewing machine for Christmas so I feel a lot of surplus sewing stuff being posted ,though as they live abroad it could be a costly exercise....worth it though.
Thanks

Oh dear Bluegreen143 ☹️ Not helpful 🙄 but I have a suggestion re the pushchair - it is very cheeky 😉 but might work - make sure that your husband is the only one who takes your 2 year old out - without the pushchair & armed with a small shopping list - e.g. bag of potatoes, 4 pints of milk & 4 cans of baked beans. He will soon get the message when he has to keep carrying the 2 year old 😉🤞 I can be quite evil sometimes 😉
Welcome aboard MrsSnowy 👋 Ooh pretty - burning paper 🙃 Cleaning, sanding & oiling your kitchen worktops definitely counts as decluttering 👏
Also you are doing really well on decluttering yarn & how exciting that you will be able to declutter sewing stuff to your granddaughter 🙂👏

Bluegreen, MrsSD has beaten me to it - I second that suggestion. And maybe there could be some bargaining with your DH - if he clears a bag/box you will do the same?2021 Decluttering Awards: ⭐⭐🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇 2022 Decluttering Awards: 🥇

@Floss good idea! Though I don’t have much left to go except books, and I don’t want to declutter those 😆 but perhaps I could agree to let go of some of the baby stuff on the understanding that we will just need to get it all again if we do have another little one, might be able to sell the crib and some other bits after all.Part time working mum | Married in 2014 | DS born 2015 & DD born 2018
