1. KITCHEN WILL CONTINUE TO BE LEFT CLEAN & TIDY EVERY NIGHT2. JUST DO ONE THING EVERY DAY (courtesy of bit_by_bit) OTHER THAN DAY TO DAY CLEANING & DECLUTTERING
3. CLEAN ONE ROOM (TOP TO BOTTOM) EVERY MONTH (hopefully 3 weekly by the end of the year)Friday was a gloriously sunny day for the most part. Very warm in the sun 🙂, but still very cold in the shade ☹️ DSis managed to get her washing dry on whirligig 👏 DH took DSis to MrS, so I had the house to myself for an hour or so - so stirred my stumps & did several little tasks 😉
Phoned bank - paid CC bill & checked my accounts; descaled kettle; refilled liquid soap dispensers; decanted some basmati rice from sack to Kilner jar (it has only taken me a month 😱); decanted - plain flour from paper packet to jar & teabags from box to jar; zizzed & taste tested hm soup - has a nice kick to it 😉; vacuumed downstairs & finally set up April’s Bingo grid for cleaning/tidying/decluttering 🙂🙂
I had a smoked salmon sandwich for lunch - finishing the smoked salmon 🤤
Dinner was sausages, mash & tinned plum tomatoes for DH & DSis. I had lo pasta Bolognese.619 - 623 Kitchen recycling, paperwork, newspaper, cardboard packaging, drinks cans - recycled
624 - 625 Kitchen detritus, emptied vacuum cleaner - binned
Great work GrannyKate 👏. 😖 to the wrecked car & shame on the police 😠 Perhaps worth an email to the local MP or the council especially as the police have the details & should get cracking 🤞Thanks for the kick D123456789 👏🙂 I thought I felt something when I started my flurry of activity 😂
I beg to differ vulpix - insert wagging finger emoji 🙂 I find your posts very interesting & really admire your dedication to your hobby. Fingers crossed 🤞 that your upcycling aka renovating earns lots of pennies 😉 Well done on the garden tidy 👏 Please remind us nearer the time re the appearances on TV 😉 What a great idea - rewarding yourself for doing an ‘unloved’ task before doing something you like - medal 🏅 on its way 🙂
Now, now moneyonmymindsam, insert wagging finger emoji 🙂 If you are unwell, bed is the best place for you - you need to give yourself a bit of TLC 🙂 I think we must all have done something wrong bearing in mind the Covid19 situation ☹️ I love the idea of watching someone else cleaning 🤣. Seems to me that they always have just the right bit of equipment for every job 😉 whereas I always struggle to find the appropriate equipment- at least that is my excuse & I am sticking to it 😉😉😀 You are definitely keeping busy 👏Welcome aboard the Charabanc/s hob_nob_bob 👋 Nice to see a new face 🙂 Must be quite exciting being in a new home 🙂 As you rightly pointed out there are so many ways to approach the whole house sort out that it can be downright confusing 😱 Elsien has made some really good suggestions - what works for one person might not work for another 😔 My tuppence worth of advice (as you are practically starting from scratch 🙂), would be to do everything on a room by room basis starting with your bedroom. Try to do everything that needs to be done to make it a haven 🙂 Wipe down paintwork, dust, decorate if you need/want to, declutter the rubbish/recycling daily, put everything away neatly, remove anything that doesn’t belong. Then shut the door 😉 you are done 🙂😉👏 My next choice would be the bathroom - rinse & repeat - put up shelves/cupboard if needed. Tips & tricks for the bathroom include only having one of everything e,g, shampoo, conditioner etc. on the go, wiping down the shower cubicle/bath/sink immediately after using, having a small rubbish bin which is emptied daily & making sure the other members of your household clean as well 😉😉 easier said than done sometimes but you shouldn’t have to do it all 🤞
Re the boxes in the spare rooms & garage I would deal with them one at a time. However you approach the challenge, remember the most important thing is to start 😉😉I am looking forward to reading about your progress 🙂
Great work elsien 👏 Once you have done the deep clean it will be easier & quicker to keep on top of it 👏🙂 Some great ideas for hob_nob_bob, so a medal 🏅 is on its way 🙂 Planting seeds is decluttering - from packet to garden 😉
GrannyKate, a medal 🏅 is coming your way too 🙂 more great ideas for hob_nob_bob 👏 Hopefully with all these ideas/info in one place, hnb will find something to suit 🤞A medal 🏅 for you too D123456789 - I did smile 😃 at your mention of secret slob 😁balabooberlies after a little research 🧐 here goes - p174 boiler, p164 9/104 bags, p148 8/104 bags with everything moved to walls ready for sorting. So your final report was 9/104 bags.Garden_girl_2, hope elsien has managed to help 🤞Good work Barny1979 👏Great work TC77 👏 Good luck with decluttering lbs 🤞MrsSD 🏅🏅🏅🏅 ⭐️⭐️⭐️Decluttering Target: 2021 625/20212021 Savings Pot: £41.00 to end of MarchBe Kind. Today I will be making my way to the tip and dropping off the cardboard from DD's birthday boxes as well as left over things from the kitchen. That should mean I will have a garage that is almost clear of all the obvious clutter. It has taken a good few months!September 2017 Debt = £25330
Starting afresh.
You can do anything if you put your mind to it. x8 -

Thanks for the medal Mrs SD.
Started the day with additional cleaning as small people complained there was dust under truckle bed when I pulled it out to use!! Toys retrieved from under bed, vacuumed, wooden floor washed and bed put back. Mattress cover and waterproof sheet all in the wash. It is 6 months since anyone used that bed but I live to serve.
Another £5 Amazon voucher from surveys - that's £19.50 this month - using them for some garden purchases on line that I had planned.
552. General email decluttering
553 Dust and random c**p from under the truckle bed in the bin
Happy weekend all - a bit grey here
