Thanks Mrs SD.This is part of my problem though; I have occasional mega blitzes but don’t keep on top inbetween. Need to try harder not to need the mega blitzes.Interim progress report. All cupboard doors and tiles degreased. Fridge cleaned inside and out. Walls sugarsoaped. Unfortunately this has fetched some tiles off the wall so need to do a diy temporary fix.
Still need to clean the cooker, kick boards and scrub the floor which I hope to finish today although I am prioritising walking the dog! Inside cupboards can wait because I’m very very bored.
Quick question though - what do you folks have up at your kitchen windows. I had a blind which is revoltingly greasy - don’t want curtains or things with slats because they annoy me but need something as it’s a side return that overlooks the neighbours. Can you get wipeable roller or Roman blinds? All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.
Pedant alert - it's could have, not could of.8 -

Afternoon MrsSD and fellow declutterers, first of all thank you MrsSD for the gold star for my wife and the medal for me. It was definitely a team effort with the bookcase, it does look the part in her bedroom.
As for today, feel let down by the weather. Was looking forward to blue skies and temperatures in low double digits, but it's been a day to wrap up well. Just been with my daughter at the park for a good hour, fresh air was good, but it was cold. Moaning over, managed to plant this morning 10 seed potatoes and 25 freesia bulbs. Hopefully that counts as decluttering ;-) did a tip run as well with the remnants of a free standing metal greenhouse which I had early last year. It got blew away in the storms so I learnt quickly that free standing greenhouses in back yards are not ideal in the bad weather. Next week we are having a new basin and bath screen fitted, so the damaged ones in there now will be decluttered to the tip. Will also look to clean the bathroom as well next weekend and give it some tender loving care. @Elsien we have blinds on our kitchen & living room windows. Cheers 🙂9 -

@elsien I've just had a blind made for my bathroom, and I think some of the fabrics are wipeable - roller blind. Haven't put it up yet, but they made one to replace a velux blind much cheaper. (blinds2go)

603 phone case (Not used) to CS bag

1. KITCHEN WILL CONTINUE TO BE LEFT CLEAN & TIDY EVERY NIGHT2. JUST DO ONE THING EVERY DAY (courtesy of bit_by_bit) OTHER THAN DAY TO DAY CLEANING & DECLUTTERING
3. CLEAN ONE ROOM (TOP TO BOTTOM) EVERY MONTH (hopefully 3 weekly by the end of the year)Saturday was a dull, overcast & damp day. After yesterday’s flurry of activity, I let myself down 😔 I have only cleared down more programmes from the TV planner 🙂 + I have written & addressed March, April & May birthday cards. DH went out to try & find lacto free milk for DSis as there was none available on Friday 😬 Lunch was hm soup. Dinner was Chinese takeaway.626 - 628 Kitchen recycling, plastic bottle, drinks cans - recycled

elsien, Mega blitzes can have a place in the decluttering challenge but as you say, once done it is the boring day to day decluttering that can prove difficult 😞 However, you are aware & can work it into your daily routine 🙂 I have every faith that mega blitzes are in your past 😉 Excellent work on the cleaning 👏 & I agree that walking the dog is far more important 🙂
That sounds like great fun Barny1979 😉👏 Aggression taken out on the old bath 😂
