Funny old day for me. Hope everyone is OK and having a good day.
Decluttered clothes from boot to Sally army clothes bank (three times in a row now💃)
Added 5 more things to ebay for sales - mainly belonging to OH 🙄 but if that's a way to get shot I will give it a go 😂
Got some YS bargains - 2 ready meals so put in freezer, milk and meat (will use up to feed dogs) for £2.03p so timed that well. Might make rice pudding as its blue top.
Old picture frames x 2 (out but not gone yet)
Wood (out but not gone yet) no good for anyone burning as its mdf type stuff. I may hang on to it for a day or so as I may need to make myself a desk, hopefully not for just wishful thinking 🤣 there is naff all about locally second hand and can easily pick up some legs.
Seems to have been loads of activity and quite a bit sorted but nothing gone.
Applied for a load more jobs 💪🤷 as got to be in it to win it🤦
Has anyone here worked for Civil Service before? am hoping to hear back this week.

Thanks for the 🏅medal Mrs SD. It is myuch appreciated. Even better; I took the four full bags (one is not finished) to the confidential waste shredders today. This is a minor miracle as often things hang around. I was off work and the place is on the way to the allotment.
Nothing will be happening in the next few days as I am at work

Had a burst of energy last night (v unusual for me) so used it to delete another 97 old emails.
Friend phoned on Sunday to say she has a slot at the recycling centre on Friday and to let her know if she can take anything for me. Will have a scout around to see what can go.Decluttering Awards: 🏅🏅8 -
Last few bits of visible clutter ready to go.
Paper bag, box so small it's no use to man nor beast. Broken hanger might have had a "hulk" moment when taking out a jumper.
Had to order a DBS as the other is older than 6 months so agency was funny about it. So £23 decluttered there.
Down jacket with holes in pockets (now sewn up) and ready to go to clothes bank.
I will put all the cr*p outside and then start cleaning.
Feel unwell today so battling against it.
Need to eat a frog and register at new doctors with 16 pages of form to fill out!!

I emptied dishwasher and noticed mugs were looking stained. While deliberating on this I dropped one of the newer ones and smashed handle. At home tomorrow so put some meat out of freezer to make batch of stew in slow cooker. Getting more organised food wise so hope to cut my awful grocery bill and throw less things away. Made breadcrumbs with stale bread this morning.
537 Broken mug to bin
538 English Heritage Parking Sticker replaced in car and old one recycled
539 EH Guide book replaced with new one and old one to charity bag
540 Collection of junk mail to recycling
541 Emails deleted etc
542 Pot of breadcrumbs made from stale bread and put into freezer
I think it is good that we are counting our emails as these are the new ' boxes of old letters' and I often speak to people who are overwhelmed by the accumulation of emails in the inbox. I have folders on computer to store emails under topics and I can then keep checking these to see if I really need to keep them. Yesterday I decluttered a couple of years worth of monthly emails telling me my bank statement was available to view on line - no point in keeping them.2025 Decluttering Campaign 635/2025 🏅🏅🏅🏅(🏅🏅) 🌟🌟

That's true @GrannyKate my emails are not good. I read them and leave them. I have decluttered about 200 recently but have a few inboxes so lots to do there. I may just pick out what I need and bulk delete the rest.

1. KITCHEN WILL CONTINUE TO BE LEFT CLEAN & TIDY EVERY NIGHT2. JUST DO ONE THING EVERY DAY (courtesy of bit_by_bit) OTHER THAN DAY TO DAY CLEANING & DECLUTTERING
3. CLEAN ONE ROOM (TOP TO BOTTOM) EVERY MONTH (hopefully 3 weekly by the end of the year)Monday was a damp, overcast day. I managed to avoid the rain when I went out. First stop was the P.O. with one parcel requiring a Customs Form. Completed form & posted - postage was almost twice the cost of the contents 😱 I also picked up a dozen Customs forms - easier to fill in at home as the P.O. is at the back of a small local shop ☹️ Then bus to MrA to buy cheap (£1) Easter eggs. No joy so took the opportunity to pick up some fresh vegetables, crisps + 75g aspirin + antihistamines for DSis, cheap packets of sauce mixes, bread & some chocolate.DH & I created our own throw it all in beef casserole which we had with mash, green beans, peas & sweetcorn 🤤 There is enough left for another 3 person dinner.I also bagged & froze - 2 snack portions of lo fish pie, large bag of fish pie mix & the other half of the brisket joint. I know, I know 😔 I am supposed to be emptying my freezers 😔
Wudupa. I have filled in the Customs forms for the 4 parcels to France.
Tuesday is cold, overcast & miserably damp ☹️. DSis has done her 1st load of washing which is now drying in td. I have a small kitchen so it is a washer/dryer ☹️ DH bought me a couple of presents - a metal colander (to replace the collapsible plastic one which is falling apart & is not nor ever has been fit for purpose 😞 & an over sink drainer. He will be putting up hooks as I don’t have cupboard space 👏 DH is off to do a mini shop - just an excuse to get out of the house really 😉 😅584 - 591 Kitchen recycling, 2 newspapers, 2 cardboard boxes, paper packaging, plastic bottle, drinks cans - recycled
592 - 593 Kitchen detritus, plastic packaging - binned
vulpix, perhaps put a shout out on local free sites - maybe someone is decluttering lots of jars & doesn’t want to recycle them 🙂
You are welcome retiredinfrance 🙂 The upside of having many virtual friends is that we are all being Covid regulations compliant 😉 Perhaps a new hobby is in the pipeline - once you have your initial stock you can probably make cards more cheaply 🤞Well done on getting rid of the shirt 👏Me too balabooberlies 🙂
What a lovely day D123456789 - even with the rain 😉 Time with LO, exercise, cooking, cleaning, decluttering to make money & also saving money 🙂👏 Has anyone else noticed the improvement? If not a big Well Done from me 👏👏
Good work GrannyKate 👏 I will see you later when you come round to me to clean my patio - I will keep you well supplied with tea/coffee & cake/biscuits 😉😉😉🙃🙃 Great decluttering work but shame about breaking a newer mug 😞 Re the stains - a solution or paste of bicarbonate of soda helps as long as you leave it for a while. You are so right - emails are the new boxes of letters but in my opinion, not as pleasing to ‘bin’
I am very impressed at how organised you are with your emails 👏👏Good work oceanspirit 👏 I notice you said ‘put away’ rather than ‘shoved into a cupboard’ To me that means that all the decluttering has been done 👏 so one medal 🏅 is on it’s way 🙂 What a lovely friend 🙂Great work moneyonmymindsam 👏. I misread the reference to OH’s stuff & thought it was a bit harsh getting rid of OH 😉 😅 Everything is crossed that you get a positive response from the Civil Service & do have to build a desk 🤞🤞 A couple of years ago I was very surprised to learn that even people who volunteer in cs need a DBS check 🤔 Now I am wagging my finger - stop battling against feeling unwell - rest, dose yourself, recharge your batteries & leave the decluttering/cleaning. Good luck with the emails 🤞Good work TC77 👏Well done bit_by_bit 👏 You must have oodles of space now the bags of shredding are gone 😉 Remember I am the nosy 🧐 one - so how big is your allotment & what are you growing 😉Good work short_bird 👏 More to the point, Well Done on starting your list of jobs for which you need assistance 👏🙂👏 Hopefully you will be inundated with offers of help PROVIDED you do not keep the list a secret 😉😉 I have noticed that you are very independent 😉MrsSD 🏅🏅🏅🏅⭐️⭐️⭐️Decluttering Target: 2021 593/20212021 Savings Pot: £41.00 to end of MarchBe Kind.
