Thank you @Mrs_Salad_Dodger
Just deleted emails and applied for jobs today - only did a speed clean.
I think it's just overwhelming bad news (on the news) slim job prospects and the pressure I have put on myself to get a Job.
I am convinced if I remain positive (and apply for a zillion things) something will come up 😘💕
In my PJ already at 6pm so will make a hot drink and eat some chocolate.
No eboy sales today but pleased about that.

Hi everyone, I havent been on here for several weeks... but things here havent come to a standstill... I have been reading all the posts and cannot believe we are on pg 182 and also in the middle of March....
We have finished decorating the now empty bedroom (some may remember, my daughter has just bought her own property and all the furniture in that room was heres). So one empty room. We are now patiently waiting for the shops to reopen, so we can go and buy a new carpet and furniture.
I have been sorting out bits and bobs, lots of paper recycling, e mails, text and watts app messages. Sold books, a spare compost bin and a few other bits.
Set lots of seeds in greenhouse, repotted some plants, potatoes are chitting well. Weeded one of the raised beds and tidied up a bit in the garden.
I had my first jab 3 weeks ago and to be honest I havent felt 100% since then. I half expected it as I have CML and also a problem with fluid on my lungs, due to drugs I have to take. Had to have a covid test (neg), chest x ray (clear) and blood tests, which are not quite as they should be, so Doc sent letter to consultant to see if she wanted to investigate or let Doc do it... this was end of last week, so im waiting...will prob ring them tomorrow. Im so breathless when walking, esp up slopes/small hills, always am, but im worse now. Just cant go for a walk, really fed up when a lovely day. Still managing to do little bits at a time tho.
I hope everyone is feeling ok, hugs to those that may not be. Lets hope we dont get a big upsurg in cases, so we can go back to normal,a ,llitle bit, whatever thats going to be!!
Take care x11 -
Quick update
@Mrs_Salad_Dodger I asked my husband if he noticed anything different - he immediately replied the house is clean 👍😊😘
In the same moment he raised his eyes to the light fitting above which is covered in dust, and pledged to clean the windows whilst I am at work tomorrow....... oh well I strive for progress not perfection!
Today I used drawer seperaters to organise my drawer of clothes under the bed, and LO socks and knicks.
I booked a charity collection for 29 March so 10 days to gather some stuff to donate.
car booked in for a service so fingers crossed they also clean it, one job less.
recycling bin is full and another week before it’s emptied so either need to book an appointment at the tip, or else fill up next doors bin if our lovely neighbour doesn’t mind....
best wishes to all x

Morning MrsSD & fellow declutterers, well it's a special midweek post from me. Our daughters new bookcase is finally built, in place and full of books. It's a four shelf one, she is very happy. She gave me a massive hug last night. Pleased with my wife as well, it took her three hours to build, in view of her mental health challenges I'm proud of her for tackling this task. The bookcase came with a lot of packaging (cardboard and polystyrene) so all of that has been decluttered into the appropriate recycling bins. Hope that counts MrsSD? Fingers crossed that Spring is on its way here in East Lancashire, clear blue skies when I left work last night. I'm rambling now so will end there, cheers 🙂14

Finding I'm not doing much on leave, working today and then more leave, making calls to move things forward but so many multi stage tasks. I am adding on my declutter list my physio exercises as I just can't get in the habit and if I include hopefully motivating. There is a link as pain and longer term impact on mobility adds to mental and physical clutter (including my lock down love handles - now more a whole dinner service than handles!).
Yesterday set up new broadband and recycled packaging, some admin tasks, and now doing exercises. Will add to total later.
Good luck @moneyonmymindsam with the job hunting. And good to know that CS are booking collections. I'll try and do this for furniture (sofa to be re-donated as bought from there and have half price one waiting to be delivered!)9 -

Thanks, you're right, I do have a tendency toward independence. But I know when I'm not tall enough or don't have the upper body strength and enlist help!‘Keep your eye on the donut and not on the hole.’ David Lynch.

Decluttered part of a back garden hedge this morning
I spent yesterday afternoon sitting in the sun
and thinking it's way too big now. So the front part is down by a third ( 4ft of it) and my 2 green waste bins are almost full. I'll have to get some help from DH to cut towards the back, it's quite wide and my arms aren't long enough
I'm now on a mission to get it in hand so that you don't have to stand on a ladder to cut it, plus it should let more sun get on the patio but still give some shade if it gets too hot. Wishful thinking there 🤔
Also recycled a plastic hair conditioner bottle, a shampoo bottle and a lot of soft fruit containers from a sm delivery. The wrapping from my flowers went in the bin straight away, normally I'd keep it if it was pretty and re-usable, however I did keep the box as DH is making more Barbie furniture as requested by DGD and he will present it all in the box. I'm on the soft furnishings, so my material stash will take another hit, Yeah !! Daily detritus has either been recycled or binned.Hope everyone is well, hugs a-plenty if not.nanFailure is simply the opportunity to begin again, but this time more intelligently11 -
Just to let you all know that I got a job so no more panic lol. Thank you so much everyone for your support.
Not the job I really wanted but its a job, and in the current market I'm really so grateful after my short stint of unemployment
My fingers are crossed it all goes well. After losing 3 close people in my life in just over the last year and a half, I will have to be brave and get on with it, been a long time since I've been the new girl at work 😂. After all I can only try 😬
Feel so relieved that I can rest up a bit before I start.
No decluttering done today just the completion of a lot of forms for the job. Also ate frog and finally did new patient paperwork.
Sam xx
