Good morning all
Reading back some impressive upcycling going on.... and some inspiration to get the garden into shape too.... Thankyou it’s great to read how everyone is getting on.
I have had some “luck” with flea bay lately so a few items out the house. It is interesting though that my PayPal balance never grows as I always seem to spot a “ bargain” and buy something else🤣
to be fair my LO is growing so have to expect ins and outs, at least things are rarely thrown away.I have booked another charity collection for 10days time as my mum told me DH had mentioned to her on the phone that he was going to have a sort out!! ( he has been promising this for ages but now he’s told my mum he will have to keep to his word or I am sure she will ask him!) anyway he probably wants to get in first and declutter his own stuff before I do it for him - sure this wouldn’t go down well!
I am still trying to use up the big bags of flour I have ( plain flour and chapati flour - bought big bags when there was no alternatives available in lockdown v1 but don’t want it to go to waste...) so I am regularly baking bread with degrees of success and just made a chocolate cake mmmmmm looking forward to that later.
Hoping someone will come and collect carrycot this weekend, sold a coat that’s been hanging up for a long time never been worn, and some wellies that LO grew out of but clean and good quality so made a little more space 👍
Just putting some HM soup on for lunch, have stripped the beds, washing is on and windows are open.
need some enthusiasm for cleaning chores now. Catch up later.11 -
BarbCh, thanks and will check out new thread. The old table - folds so meant as student type desk will go to the refugee project. Nothings gets binned. We have many desks , one for work, another a large surface in my bedroom, art deco one from my grandmother which I adore and another small old one!
291 receipts sorted and recycled
292 shredding
Off work tomorrow so hope to get some cleaning and sorted done.
Thanks for all advice on letting bygones be bygones. I am much better than I used to be but catch myself sometimes. Take care everyone12 -

No, no, no, no, no, no ,Mum sent me a bin bag of gift bags and Christmas paper. She gives money as gifts these days. Saved some and listed some on local free site and some in recycling.
Little progress with DIY, nothing finished yet . Done plenty of knitting and mending though.

I've tried to spend as much time with oldest dog today as possible, we got a footprint kit from amazon so we did those so we can remember him. I even did some to give to my ex. My kids are taking it well so far, but I know it hasn't fully sunk in. I doubt we will get anything done tomorrow but school is aware. DD2 has been having counselling sessions every Wednesday because they noticed a drastic change in her behaviour after her dad left. We found out that he had actually took them to meet the "other" woman a few months before I found out he was cheating, He said she was "just a friend". Sorry to put a downer on things.
BarbCh That looks fabulous, Well done: DD1 23/11/09

@kat360....so sorry about your dog... I have gone through the loss of 3 dogs and broke my heart over them all. They are family and give so much unconditional love.
I took a picture of one of of my dogs an hour before he was euthanised. I treasure his picture. I also have kept all of their ashes.
As for the ex.... how atrocious to introduce his children to another woman before you even knew he was cheating! All I can say is KARMA!
I have started a thread about decluttering your mind, and you are welcome to post your worries there.... as for downes..... let us pick you up by offering an ear to have a rant at. X
Thanks for your compliment about my upcycling post x9 -

Sorry for all this but I am so wound up.
You're definitely a nicer person than me, I'd be telling the daughter it escaped and I'm really sorry..... where was she when it needed taking care of in the first place??12 -
Lots of floodwater at the end of our garden and some anxious moments watching the stream in our garden that feeds into the big river foaming away and I thought of you Mrs SD , well not exactly you , I smile here ,but of your idea of a safe place and I started thinking that I need all precious stuff in a safe place that more importantly is easy to grab. However this was just anxiety as we know that the lie of the land means all flood water goes over the fields in the other side of the river........ Anyway all calm now and I am really chirpy as DH gets his first vaccine tomorrow.
2 dead plants out to garden
1 cracked cake plate to bin
1 pile ood bank cards cut up and bits selectively in bin
1 scarf to CS
1 blouse to CS
1 uu notebook from2012!
3 books to CS
1 pile of glass jars secretly to recycling from DH's stash in garage.
Total11+108=110.
Slow and steady.
Thanks to Hopefuldebtfree for the idea that if you don't look good in it out it goes. So that is why the above blouse has gone.
I went out to the CS with this stuff and a load for the recyc!ing as I am worried we have another lockdown here.
Stay safe everyone.10
