Good to hear is moving along, although I wonder if the seedlings will be plants by the time you get to move.Mortgage Free 23 December 2020

PC the cornflowers are definitely getting towards plants now but there’s no room inside and it’s too cold outside! The stresses of plant parenting.
I made a big purchase yesterday- an electric bike! I’ve got another thread on the public transport and cycling page where I’m mulling over giving up my car, well now I’ve got the bike I can. Main motivation is environmental rather than money saving, although I think I currently spend £1500 a year on the car so I should see that. I’ve completely wiped out my car savings pot. Going to collect it today and go for a spin 😃
other spends - chiropractor was £30 mates rates bless him. I’m going to add in my monthly budget going forward. £113 left for the monthMFW 2021 #76 £5,145

PC do you know you can eat cornflowers? These are destined for on top of the wedding cake! 😋
Moving house is beginning to feel real now! Everyone has agreed on next Friday as a move date. We haven’t exchanged yet, there’s a few bits outstanding but I’m going to be on the case today. It feels like we are currently haemorrhaging money, but we’ve been saving towards the move for so long now that it’s money we have. We want to do a lot with it though!Current house move pot is £2000 + I’m owed £1250 from a family member on pay day. Removals are £550.
Im really not sure how much money is due back to us after the house selling/buying as we are still awaiting the mortgage redemption statement. I’m guessing about £1000 as a top figure? Not sure whether to stick in the moving pot or divert some to an overpayment- the stamp duty would have been £400 so could pretend we’ve paid that! I’ll see how the money plays out next week.We are eating our way through the freezer so that’s a saving at least. All the packs of yellow sticker meat that fall into OHs trolley mean we are eating really well!I’m off work today so going to do some admin and chasing and then pack some boxes 💪MFW 2021 #76 £5,145
