overpay mortgage by £2000💪
Ahead of target with this, 33%
Save £6000 towards extension 🏡
Just over £1000 in the house budget so making progress here. Dd is set at £400 so we don’t need to find too much above that. Main risk is getting distracted by something else 👀
increase long term saving pots 🚗 🇮🇸
As last month, nothing here yet. Still trying to rebuild sinking potsfinish en suite 🚽
There is still a toilet in the bedroom (that doesn’t count as en suite!) it’s raining today so the deal is we do some diy
mastermind an extension plan 🗺
No decisions made as yet! We asked for a quote for the cheap version of roof insulation but need to chase up. I’m still not decided what to do for best!

be able to run 15 miles 🏃♀️
Run 5k parkrun in less than 35 minutes 🏃♀️Best time this year is 44.06
i went on a long run, 7 miles and a long walk 13 miles. The walk killed me! I’ve also been out with the running club but not as often as I probably need to. No parkruns, will make an effort to go this month.Have at least one micro adventure a month ⛰I went camping solo 🏕 but met up with a group. It was a nice balance of social and intrepid line woman camping. The social bit is the more challenging! It was good to have to make my own decisions as I think sometimes I defer to T even though I’m a seasoned camper.
Embrace a more varied volunteer role 🙋♀️The local politics bit has really ramped up with the local election approaching. I feel like a semi part player which suits me rather than being full in. Im struggling somewhat to work out how I want to use my volunteering time and I suspect still struggling with burnout from last year’s activities.Money round up
So last month I said the joint account will do the heavy lifting this month but I think I’ve asked too much of it! I’ve also spent a lot this month from personal spends and need to rein it in a bit! I’d budgeted to buy some clothes and I’ve spent that money in other things and not bought any clothes! I think some no spend days are in order on both accounts, there’s a fair bit of month left although nothing big planned.I’ve had a good Easter weekend, a mix of pottering at home, seeing family and adventures with T to feed the soul. Have a good week wannabes xMFW 2021 #76 £5,145

Gah! Lost post again!I realised that the person’s spends were so high because I’d failed to budget for a payment for a weekend away and for Easter cash for niblings. I’ve pulled £100 out of my “other” pot that is stashed there at the start of the month and used that towards the budgeted clothes purchases + my £12 Vinted profit.I’ve managed to buy mostly second hand and sustainably sourced bits as trying to avoid fast fashion. To be honest, it hurt my wallet and my brain which is why I’ve put it off so long! I’m going to try and buy another bunch next month as I currently have very little spring or summer clothes that fit.My sister has just paid my back her contribution to Disney+ so I have a grand total of £143 in my account of which £100 is budgeted for fuel. I need ~£16 to get where I’m going this weekend so I’m left with about £27 for the month. I feel some NSDs are in my future! This weekend I’m doing a navigation course that I’ve already paid for including food so should be no spends! It’s hailed a few times here this week so I expect to get cold & wet in the Peak District, wish me luck!Have a good weekend xMFW 2021 #76 £5,145

Well done on going meat free, what are some recipes you like for those? I always struggle with vegetarian meals because they don't keep me full for long.2

SH it’s personal spends I’m “worried” about, we run a joint account that we cover food from. There’s no worries of us going hungry! And worry is the wrong word, I just try to save too aggressively and don’t budget for everything so end up skint at the end of the month.MissLolu it’s quite tricky as T does most the cooking and his default is to cook meet. Plus one of the boys struggles with his eating so we tend to eat whatever he can manage when he’s with us. Our go to veggie dishes are
5 bean chilli
chickpea curry
veg quiche
caulifliwer cheese & chips 😋
veg pizza
soup
pasta with pesto or Tom & veg
last night we had homemade falafel burgers which were easier than expected and very tasty!MFW 2021 #76 £5,145
