It's lovely when you find simple, tasty meals to cook. I really should eat more veg only meals... Will consider how I can work that in.

There is now a toilet in the conservatory too!! Next weekend’s plan is to fit both toilets and the outside waste pipe. It’s a historical event 🤴 🚽

be able to run 15 miles 🏃♀️
Run 5k parkrun in less than 35 minutes 🏃♀️Best time this year is now 43.42 💃
Progress as I’ve not done a great amount of running this month, trying to get back on the wagon with club nights rather than making excuses.Have at least one micro adventure a month ⛰I joined a navigation course which I enjoyed, learnt some new skills and met some new people! Been on 2 walks since then, not massive but practicing map & compass work. Yesterday we took boys to find a plane wreck in the Peak District which was exciting!
Embrace a more varied volunteer role 🙋♀️Completed the last bit of local election volunteering today, which I’m proud of. Every little helps and it was nice to do my bit. T has been super supportive, and so has everyone I’ve mentioned it to irl even if they don’t align the same way politically.I’ve also signed up for an event in the summer using my walking training and managed to delegate jobs for the event I was putting off so that feels positive too.Money round up
We made it to pay day hurrah! Short term financial worry is that the car is in the garage with a question mark over how much it’s going to be. Mid term financial worry is that T’s work are struggling to find investment funding so jobs may be at risk. We’ve discussed and are feeling reassured. We have no debt and 6 months savings. We can *almost* live off my wage as we’ve cut our cloth accordingly. He’s skilled and should find work fairly quickly even if it isn’t exactly what he wants short term. It’s unsettling for him but we’re going to be okay. Plan for now is to carry on with OP and savings plan, we were weighing towards savings over mortgage anyway. He should know more in the next few months.I can’t believe it’s May already. We’ve got a busy month with plans most weekends. I’d like to challenge my phone habits a little, I’ve been sucked in to social media and it’s literally a pain in the neck.Take care wannabes xMFW 2021 #76 £5,145

Yes I’m pleased SH and it helps feel like we’ve made good choices to not max out our mortgage potential. We’d definitely be more worried if we’d borrowed the full amount available.Car came in at £806 which is steep but better than expected! We’ve split it 3 ways between me, T and the house pot (which we both contribute to but always feels like bonus money when we raid it)MFW 2021 #76 £5,145
