First overpayment of the year 👏 £75 which we had as a refund from some delayed train travel. This is on top of the overpayment savings account which currently stands at £1000. Slowly but surely getting there. No shortage of adventuring at the moment building up towards a big scout adventure in May 🚴 🏕. Lots of plates spinning at the moment. We have a rough plan of having a gap year when Youngest boy leaves school (so in 7-8 years) which ties in with when we’re working towards slaying the mortgage. Plus working towards an early retirement date for me so I can finish at the same time as T who is 10 years older than me.More short term, we’re in early stages of planning a summer train adventure with the boyos. So lots to look forward to.MFW 2021 #76 £5,145

Mortgage balance £91,790 with £1250 in the savings pot. The 80s feel within reach!!T is job hunting at the moment and a drop in salary is a likely possibility although he’d save a lot in commuting costs and regain hours in the day. Feeling lucky/vindicated in our decision to not have a massive mortgage that lets us make a real choice. The moneys been nice but it’s now threatening his health and that won’t do.Happy weekend wannabes, we’ve got quite a relaxed one planned xMFW 2021 #76 £5,145

thanks Good life! Definitely in the 80s with the offset pot.We had a refund from gas & electric credit of £106 so put that plus the usual amount we’d pay for utilities towards the mortgage- £250 total. They’ve adjusted the amount to something more realistic going forward.Just got back from a fab half term adventure cycling in the Netherlands, it’s been absolutely amazing and I’m so proud of everyone involved. Im looking forward to a bit of a rest although already started plotting and scheming for future ventures.Have a good Wednesday wannabes xMFW 2021 #76 £5,145
