Two Christmas cards written and ready to send. Baking dish gleaming white again having been cleaned with pink stuff. Just having fry up but grilled for lunch. This is no time of year for dieting!Spend less now, work less later.9

Hair brushed, food bin emptied, litter tray cleaned, toaster put away, WM loaded (just waiting for DS to get dressed then I will put it on), DW stacked.
I really need to clear the DR table - it has all my junk on it, so I can't even blame anyone else! There is a pile of paperwork/boxes & other stuff in the corner too, which is mine 😕 I sometimes loathe my procrastination habit/hoarding tendencies! Partly because I can't whip others into shape if I can't lead by example! 😂 Enough moaning - I need to DO!8 -
Round 1 completed- car booked in at the garage on Monday. Towels etc draped on the airer.
I walked to the hairdressers- and back. Quite enjoyable once I got going. I avoided going in to the Co-op on my way past- thankfully there were a lot of cars in the car park so I wasn't too tempted. I've made a start writing Christmas cards- and sorted out those I've already written from those that have been received.
I ought to crack on and get the rest written really but cba. Maybe later.

Odd jobs done, can’t really remember what. 2 boxes cleared of unwanted stuff from the landing, but replaced by boxes of Christmas decs, so not really much of a win. Fridge cleaned out, chicken marinading for dinner. That Nadiya recipe had better be as easy as she says it is! No Christmas presents wrapped as no enthusiasm here either. I have a hankering for scones, so I am flicking through recipe books. Distracted by a gingerbread loaf though....8

Hi all
DS has been sent home from work ill. He is complaining of feeling very tired and lightheaded. He is pale and I wonder if he is anaemic, he has not been taking iron tablets for a while. He is due a blood test anyway and I want him to go to hospital and get it done this weekend, but he wants me to make him an appointment with the GP next week. Sigh.
Done my HIIT class, sorted some laundry, had a tidy around. It's dark and wet - again. Off to wrap some presents in a minute. Done an inventory of food supplies and moved things out of DS2s bedroom ready for him coming home next week.9 -
Not been in any position to consider flying this week. No change there.
Place looks fairly reasonable, albeit in need of a quick whisk over in the bathroom.
I'm shattered. Himself's been having dreams again, so it's meant there's been somewhat of an atmosphere - I'm not at my most relaxed when I've been awake since 4am every day this week, done a full day/week of wrangling kids that shouldn't have been sent in in the first place, all the other work and then I can't go to sleep because a) I'm stressed and b) I'm expecting to be woken up by one of his dreams in the next three hours again.
Also having a Psoriasis flare up. So I'm tired, overworked and dealing with burning, itchy and in places, splitting skin. And I've seen daylight for no more than twenty minutes all week.
Vaguely irritated that we'd agreed that, for the first time, I'd get to have the Christmas decorations I wanted - and then I got home after he'd had yet another day off to find the usual plastic tat and lights had been tossed around the living room. Just for once, I wanted something more like a posh department store's adverts, not a nuclear explosion in a skip out the back of £land.
But I slept through his alarm this morning, have immersed myself in coal tar and dinner's on its way. So hopefully I can go back to bed soon.I could dream to wide extremes, I could do or die: I could yawn and be withdrawn and watch the world go by.Yup you are officially Rock n Roll11 -
Fayolle said:Narc0 - pictures of your finished decorations please! They are always so beautiful.
Have a lovely day all x
Sorry that's come out a bit big. First attempt, for a friend whose birthday is today so it's sort of a birthday and Christmas. Thought I'd keep it simple after last year's complicated oasis Xmas tree; poor friend always gets the first experiment! Will make the base start more obvious with the next one.
Other than that:
- one load washing done
- report checked and emailed
- yesterday's lesson written up and emailed
- 2 Christmas puddings made and on the range bubbling away.
- e birthday cards sent to 2 friends
- milk delivery checked and organised for the next couple of weeks
- Mr N just picked up from Mr T click & collect
- recorder set for Strictly and Valhalla as this eve we are watching a 'live stream' of Mr N's cousin and his group who are doing a concert in Galway Cathedral in aid of children's cancer.
- Christmas day church services in Mum's area surveyed, listed and under discussion.Remember...a layer of dust protects the wood beneath it.11 -
Morning all.Bit of a rough night but had a lie in. Bathrooms will get a bit of a swish round today but other than that I'm not planning a lot. Therefore if I do get something else done I will be over achieving for a change. So far I have put clean throws on the sofas.
Have a great day everyone.Spend less now, work less later.9 -
Morning all
Rainy day here, I’ve put all the cleaning cloths to swish on a hot wash and tidied the lounge so far, I have some reading to do for work and some prep for a presentation I have to give in a few weeks (trying to get organised on this one!) I will cook a big batch of bolognese so we can have one tomorrow and a second lot for the freezer, we are also trying out a new slow cooked lamb dish this evening, I love lamb so hope it works out...
Have a good day all, hugs all round x7 -
Good morning all,
Raining here too. I’m taking DD to the stables later, but apart from that, nothing particular planned. I guess it may be Christmas wrapping and putting up a tree or 2. Dinner is a joint in the sc, so hopefully easy-ish, although no way am I going to the allotment in the rain for fresh veg.
Narc0 - the arrangement is beautiful and very striking. Love it, can’t wait to have green eyed envy at your others 😉 x
I’ll finish my first cuppa, then see what I need to get done.
Hugs and sticks aplenty. Have a good day all x
