Final overpayment of the year is £500 (#123). I think I've missed my target but I had an unexpected £2000 repair bill in November so it can't be helped.

Decided to throw an extra £200 at the mortgage to get me into the next LTV bracket before a product switch. Total for December is now £700 (#123).

Hi Julicorn, Porridgecat no 95 here. We've just paid £12 184.25 into our mortgage account thereby paying it off completely including the final fee. Hopefully when I check it online tomorrow it should show a nice zero in the balance. The rate rise (although very small) was the final incentive so we juggled some savings and have got rid 5 years and 11 months early.  Our best Christmas present ever.
Absolutely fantastic news, congratulations Porridgecat! What a wonderful Christmas present to yourselves <3
