Sorry, totally wrote that wrong! Yes still got £260 to go but I've got more OPs planned for the rest of the year which should take me over my target once I pay them!

#118 here... £101.80 paid today.... After a couple of disappointing of nothing being paid... Not gonna hit my easily achievable target for the year either... So disappointed in myself... Well done to other's, good luck everyone else.... Thx julicorn

@Coffeekup don’t worry about “missing” your target. It’s a marathon and not a sprint. Every penny you pay off now is less to pay later. 

Life happens. Priories change. That is ok. You can’t spend every single penny on the mortgage and not live

#3 here - confirming no more overpayments this year. I’ve met my target but also dipped into my overpayments by £13k to have my garage converted into a playroom (worth every penny - I’m so happy with the result!). 

So I’ll definitely be back for 2022 to try and have my mortgage gone before I hit 40 in 2023 🤞🏻🙌 will redo my sums between Christmas and New Year!

Im starting to daydream about what I might do when my mortgage is gone. I enjoy my job, earn a stupid amount of money BUT it’s stressful and I don’t feel like I contribute to society. I’d like to spend more time volunteering (I already do a bit but it’s hard as a single mum around a full time, full on job) and I’m also considering a business idea that I’m passionate about but which isn’t really financially viable whilst I have a mortgage to pay. Great motivators to keep me on track!!

@julicorn thank you.  I was only able to join mid-way last year, and I've a long way to go, but really appreciate this thread and that it must be a lot of work for you.
