#68 with a £1,000 overpayment today, taking it to £4,050 for the year so far.

    Thanks Julicorn!
  • #16   Final scores on the doors for September - Closing total of £346.22.  Please julicorn.

Not as much as I would hope for  (lol, never is), have bought £200 in light fittings, which are very very long over due, a new mattress £350 and £135 at the dentist.

Tomorrow will see me in the 63k bracket, roll on under 60k.

Think we are all doing a fantastic job, keep chucking the pennies at it, we will get there.

  • #117 checking in with only £300 for September.

We need a new front door which is costing us just over £2.5k, the price of a composite door just now is ridiculous but the last 2 upvc doors we’ve had had split with the sun beating on them when it eventually comes out, and the seals have gone so it blows a hoolie through the house in winter, so trying composite this time.  Hoping to save a bit on heating costs once the new door is in!

Because of this, can I lower my target to £6000 please?

#32 here for October. Sad statement of affairs 🤦🏾‍♀️ in terms of OP and saving. Managed only £363.90, still reeling off the aftermath of Summer holidays and the spending that goes with that. Then September is birthday month, including my own (obviously I had to treat myself 😅) and my lodger is off to pastures new. Bring on December when I pay off my student loan which is £400 a month 😬. I shall try harder next month!

EDIT: I definitely will try harder as I’m only 2 months left and £750 off my target.

    Thanks julicorn for managing. X

You are doing really well. Every little bit you pay now is a bit less to pay later. It is a Marathon and not a sprint.

Be kind to yourself. Every now and again we all have extra things to pay and different priorities.

Even if you “miss” your target in January it doesn’t matter, no one expected the year we have had either. Every little saving will add up over the next 10,15,20 years

No 70 reporting an OP of £430 for October.  I think this gets me to my target for the year, I am going to keep OPing because I still need to get to the MTiT-T5 total but am going to keep the target the same as I want to throw the extra at my savings.  Thanks julicorn.
