  • The guy on the phone said that it can take them several weeks to reply to letters they receive and my MP's secretary has written a letter to them and is awaiting a reply.

According to the admin on my military vets' FB page, there has been a major glitch, and all, or most ex-service personnel have been classed as being out of the country last year, and therefor not qualifying. The DWP are in the process of rectifying the situation.

The whole winter fuel payment situation has been an almighty !!!!!! up by the DWP. They introduced a new computer system and totally ballsed up,
what before was a smooth operation.

In fairness, I received my WFP before Christmas without any problems.

Look, I'm only telling it like it is from my experience.
    You said

I'm not denying that there has clearly been problems with some payments.

I've been sympathetic (and I'd like to think helpful too) to your case and that of others, including Carlsdad on the thread he started.

Why have you deleted your post that I quoted?

I hope you get your payment issue sorted out.

At the end of the day you have done all you can do.
Have you actually put in a proper formal complaint through the proper complaint process? Or have you just complained over the telephone?

Doesn't anyone think it's about time Martin Lewis followed up his initial report, he seems to have gone very quiet, especially as he said everyone would receive their payment by the 13/01/21 and that those who received letters with the wrong bank account, wouldn't have to do anything, what a joke.

I think it's about time you read my comments before you make your own, I told you ages ago that I made a formal complaint.
Firstly I think you need to adjust your attitude when people are trying to help.
You said you had rang DWP. you said you had sent bank statements, you also said you contacted them on the telephone again and you have wrote to your MP, none of that suggests you have made a formal written complaint to the DWP, so my question was asking if you had? That way they can follow their complaints procedure.

No offence but whinging on a forum is going to get you no where, I'm just checking you have done everything you should.

On the back of that, if you are struggling there are many things you can do, you can firstly look at your expenditure and see if you can reduce this, secondly you can approach your energy suppliers and ask if they can assist in any way, thirdly you can apply to the many energy suppliers trusts for hardship help and finally you can use the turn 2 us grants area on their website to search for any other grants.

Here we go again. People have gone out of their way to help you, yet you continue with the bad attitude. Please remember than those people that give advice here do it for free, in their own time. If you continue with the attitude then people will refuse you to help you further.

When threads become this long it's quite difficult to take in everything that has been posted - people are only trying to help.
