So what exactly is this black swan event and when will it happen?
No, wait, I forgot - if they knew what it was it wouldn't be a black swan.
Who needs to make money for old rope when people will pay you money to tell them that you think something bad will happen but you don't know when or what they should do about it?

If you want to get a better result it is a good to be open minded, open for new ideas including (if necessary) to do thing differently.
I like the anti-inflation argument for gold, crypto, art etc but also not convinced that if black swan comes and people start losing money in every single asset class, then they are not entirely going to start plowing into very risky magical internet beans. The Covid crashed pushed BTC down to $4k and ETH to $100. Now 12x that and 33x that of course. But if you get a true "de-coupling" from TradFi then it could happen at some point too.
Lets see, some nice pumps on the way, imo1 -

I have been very specific about the event in question on multiple occasions.
The event is the end of this financial system. And it could be as early as this autumn. But it's inevitable and it will be big.
And in answer to the other posts on asset classes going down: that won't be true of gold.0 -

Apparently they enjoy lying as an art form. We get our share on here. You're more persistent than most trolls, but there's no way we can tell you're not, and no way we can tell that you're the guy in the video.1

The thing that bugs me though are the folks who only speak of the upsides of crypto, and do so with pseudo-authority gleaned only from watching some YT videos..
Well, I am not quite sure whether you are aware of the state of art of You Tube nowadays. You could literally find almost every credible information, channels, News, interview, conference with well-known figures that you normally watch on Cable TV read on Newspaper but on your convenience time and / or catch-up mode. Many of the important quick news you can not even find on Cable TV.
Think about CNBC, CNN, Fox Business, FT, Bloomberg, Morningstar, TrustNet, the Motley fool etc you name it. It is there. A few people try to condense the stock market news from various reliable source into a single video so it will save your time rather then spending time watching them one by one.
It is very convenience as you could easily find / search them in a single platform .
Certainly, there are a lot of scammers outthere that will try to scam you. But it is entirely up to you how you screen it.
Happily I can alleviate your uncertainty by saying that I'm reasonably aware of the range of content available on YT now, although not an expert on the subject.
But the quality of content on YT wasn't a feature of the comment I made that you have quoted.
I was referring to people who talk up crypto based solely on what they've seen on YT. (and/or read on other SM)
There are some excellent YT channels producing (traditional) broadcast quality material. A good example is "Mentour Pilot" whose channel is about aviation issues and what is involved in flying civil airliners. He speaks with real authority because he is a pilot. And because he is a pilot his content is measured and factual because if he starts uploading/posting nonsense it would affect his employability.
But nobody in their right mind would get on an aeroplane if the people at the front said they learned to fly by watching YT videos, and don't worry because they know what they are doing. That would be "pseudo-authority". They aren't practicing experts.
However, some people are entirely willing to risk their life savings based on opinions expressed on YT (and other SM) by people with unknown credentials - whose own knowledge was gained in a like manner. The phrase "The blind leading the blind" applies.
A final point, the presence of the names you mention (plus others) has certainly increased the credibility of YT content compared to the days where cat videos and conspiracy theories were the main output.
But that in itself is part of the problem - in that people who have difficulty in determining the credibility of information they receive can be fooled into thinking some random person speaks with authority because YT is now hosting other credible content.
Not everything you see/read on YT (and other SM) has the same level of truth and accuracy. We haven't all become experts on everything.

You know, that breathless way of communicating reminds me very keenly of those random people I don't know who phone me up to tell me things I don't want to know. Less pronouns and conjunctions in places where they should be, and slightly more pronouns and conjunctions in places that they shouldn't be.7.25 kWp PV system (4.1kW WSW & 3.15kW ENE), Solis inverter, myenergi eddi & harvi for energy diversion to immersion heater. myenergi hub for Virtual Power Plant demand-side response trial.0 -

Surely the only purpose for NFTs of ridiculous jpgs of a rock is purely about money laundering... what else could the appeal be?
"how do you explain this half a million?"
"oh I sold some artwork, check this awesome rock out!"
I can get proper artists selling originals, but not all this silly stuff... dont understand the value0
