Happy Early Christmas ditty and the boys!I did it!! I finally did it!! NSD #1 in the Villa F0xh0les !! Nearly sodded it up, went out early to nab a bargain on the local NotWasting site (free), nearly stopped off to buy emergency yoghurt, but came home, watched politics, fed people a roast dinner, cleaned stuff, tinkered with budgets and lists, and made a shopping list (out of double cream!) shaved DS4s undercut back in, and as soon as it looked like starting to get dark, the star lights net in the window went on, the tree lights went on, and after supper, the candles were lit and the big light goes out.Tonight is His Dark Materials and hot chocolate and marshmallows (no cream) and a mice (mouse?) pie.Gratitudes : my coconut snowballs turning out brilliantly, pineapples, only having crackers and cheese and pickles for tea tonight and nobody complained!!! Football - top of the table!!! and last but definitely not least - only having 10 school run days left this year!!!!!!4/10/22One Year Mortgage Free Yay!

Sunday- 4/15 NSDs, so far budgets for the month looking good! But it is only the 6th so lots of time for it to go wrong 🤣. The to-do list has been hit quite hard so we're all ready to start the week tomorrow.5

Day started with a rush. Doorbell went, I threw myself off the bed, dragged on my dress and tried to get to the door before mum toddled out (think I've kept her so safe she now thinks there is nothing to worry about). Took small bag from man, quick peek inside (I am waiting for some pre-ordered books but know some other people have not yet received their copies), shouted after the man that it was not for us - he didn't hear me and the gate was locked so I couldn't go outside. Bag had a warm drink, a soft drink and 2 paper packages.
Asked mum if she knew any 'Toms', went on the residents bookface page and left a message saying if anyone had ordered food it was at our number, went down the street to ask one of the more established residents - she didn't know but would put it on the whatsapp thing - thought people would be more likely to see a message on their phones. Left the food outside on a little table. Not been collected.
Made food for us both - part cooked Friday, just had to add veg and heat everything up. Toddled as far as Morries to get cash for mum from the machine and posted cards that were ready to go. Had a shower and done a little tidying (radical plan for this week).
Today I am grateful for finding the short story book that goes with one of my series (last 2 books coming out in paperback next year), extra grooming and not having a lot left on my to do list (moved remnants from 3 full pages). Laptop seems to be coming up to speed now (still circling the drain a lot when I move pages) but will do extra quotes and phrases tomorrow (may do advice from a reindeer etc - could do with a bit of levity).

Advice from a reindeer
Appreciate snow days
Rack up happy memories
Enjoy the great outdoors
Make deer friends
Know when to hoof it
Put a jingle in your step
Chill out
Advice from a snowflake
Keep your cool
Appreciate small wonders
Let your plans crystallise
Take time to chill
Sparkle
Celebrate your uniqueness
It's okay to be a little flaky
Advice from a Snowman
Be a jolly happy soul (don't fake it if you aren't feeling it)
Spend time outdoors
Stay cool
It's okay to be a little bottom heavy
Avoid meltdowns
Be well-rounded
Live well, life is short
Begin doing what you want to do now. We are not living in eternity. We have only this moment, sparkling like a star in our own hand......and melting like a snowflake

Hey turtles! Still swimming here and trying for an NSD today, have been at home by myself but as it’s still a holiday may meet up with bf to go for a tipple this eve. Tomorrow should be one.
Today I finally wrote a long over due email to someone I care a lot about and wronged recently. Hoping I will feel a weight off my shoulders about it (not yet)
Had 1,5 hours of class this morning, have been to gym and done 10 min of yoga when I got home as the gym was super busy.
Listened to a long podcast and hung up some paper snowflake decs. A bit of washing, cleaned the bathroom. Going to do some of my course now.
Grateful for My inspirational mum running an actual virtual marathon today, for passing the end of unit quiz on my course, for having more than enough.

4/20 NSDs. Tonight's planned dinner is spag bol which will be a pleasure to cook (take tub out of the freezer and heat up!). Lunch today was cheese and oatcakes with MIL’s apple chilli jam again. I'm going to be really sad when the jam runs out - it is so tasty! MIL also sent two jars of bramble jam which didn't take long to demolish.
Drank 1500ml of water and had a brisk 20-minute walk earlier today when the sun was out. Hopefully we get lots more of these crisp sunny days. The universe at least owes us that given the year we've all had?!
Grateful for another crisp sunny day, the honesty of the roofer who told me our roof has got another 10 years in it, and the pretty poinsettia sitting by my side all of my working day.
