Spends for the month so far.
Asda YS only - £1.06
Waitrose (Ooh posh! Well, I was visiting my dad in a care home in a town 3 hours' drive away, and needed the loo, so we thought we'd buy some bits while we were there, but this bill does include doorbell batteries, and the very necessary Radio Times because it is Christmas). £19.76.
And the last November spend in Aldi of £22.09 - in which there were Cadbury Dairy Milk Advent calendars, because we're in our 40s, which is 21st century for 'youth'.
Yes, I have done a Christmas dance, Mr Advent Calendar. I'm doing it right now!
Total: £42.91.Keep reading books!
July grocery challenge START: £150.
total SPENT £127.53, REMAINING £22.37.4 -
More spends, bringing my running total up to 113.22/750.
Have bought quite a bit of cheese, ready for DS1 coming back from uni next weekStill need to go to the farmers market for the really good stuff, though
Spends also included some very frivolous items, like vanilla syrup for drinks, edible glitter (because it's Xmas
) and orange choc frosting

£79 spent today, which in theory should last us a week, but I suspect we'll run out of bananas before next Friday! £62 at the market, on fish, cheese, eggs, a small amount of meat (half in the freezer for another time) fresh fruit & vegetables, and £17 at the butchers on a (rather expensive) chicken that will do us 3 meals plus soup, and 500g of steak mince. They could have been bought cheaper elsewhere, but they will be top-notch & are local & high-welfare. I'll be doing our monthly non-perishables run down to the city sometime during the week & expect to spend about £80, which will leave us around £250 for the rest of the month. As the Christmas meat etc. come out of a separate fund, that should be entirely do-able.Angie - GC Aug25: £106.61/£550 : 2025 Fashion on the Ration Challenge: 26/68: (Money's just a substitute for time & talent...)6

We cancelled our planned shopping trip to the market as we were in the midst of a blizzard (!) so our only spend so far is £5.70 on milk that is delivered. I will need to go Monday (quiet day) so I need to review stores and build a list. I just hope there is cat litter!Save £12k in 2025 #2 I am at £4863.32 out of £6000 after May (81.05%)

We are at £116.51 already. This included our big bulk shop and some treats for Yule and Christmas already bought. Also a few bits of fruit and vegetables.
One of the best buys was 3 organic broccoli reduced at 29p each making them even cheaper than loose broccoli which I was going to buy a load of anyway. The plastic does annoy me but as it was to go to waste if not bought I see it as a win.
We have an A & C delivery that will be £33 next week. Also we will be getting Oddbox (we are likely near the edge of their delivery area but I was happy when I found that out) which will cost £9.99 for the large fruit and vegetable box. It's usually £19.99 for the large fruit and veg box but came across a £10 off any box code and thought it worth to try but if it is good will likely continue. I will put up the contents of the box when it arrives so if anyone is in the delivery area and thinking about it you can see what it is like.
So £42.99 already earmarked for next week going out.
£116.51/£350.
£233.49 left.
£159.50/£350.
£190.50 left after the deliveries.I am a vegan woman. My OH is a lovely omni guy4 -
