£65.21 spent today but includes a bulk purchase of dishwasher tablets which will cover the next couple of months 😉
I've got the menu planned for this week and intend to use as much next week as possible from the freezer to make room for the solstice food so hopefully this will be good month! 😊5 -
£21.76 In Lidl, had to go to tyre place as new tyre losing pressure, he says the alloy rims are degrading,
so called for some ground coffee, new machine so trying various brands, picked up other bits, obviously, have enough veg to last until Christmas
couple of packs of cooking bacon, 2 x 4 y.s lamb chops, and some cheese slices.
Do I need it or just want it.5 -
Hiya, completely overshot my target last month, unsurprisingly, so I'm going to aim for midway between where I want it to be and where it was - £500
I have a large Tesco delivery arriving tomorrow, I'll deduct the Christmas gifts from that spend though.

Evening All
Apologies, but I am rushing to post before a call and haven’t had the chance to catch up on everyone’s news. Hope I can catch up later.
Two shops to declare: Sunday, went to L!dl. Spent £18.05 on frozen peas, frozen sweetcorn, another salmon en croute, etc. We were £15 off the £100 threshold to get a money-off voucher on their app, so pushed the boat out.
Today, went to W8trose to return an item from their other store. Found chestnut purée for the stuffing for the Christmas Goose. Bought 6 sachets, but that’ll come out of the Christmas Fund. (Must remember that it’ll need an orange or two.). Decided to buy dinner there, so spent £3 on a pie. Also bought 2l of milk. Total spend from the Grocery Challenge budget was £4.15.
I rolled last month’s 40p surplus into this month’s budget. The above brings our total for the month to £22.20/£140,40, leaving £118.20 for the rest of the month.

Hi all, needed various routine things like bog rolls and such so spent £18.45 at Sainsbobs and then £11.90 at M&S but that did include sherry and then went to the cheesemonger in the market who reopened today and spent £2.76 on single gloucester which means I've spent £33.11/£152 so far.7

Hi everyone. Well I had a £19.44 spend in lidl yesterday. 2 weeks today is our pay day. Gets a but confusing as we get paid every 28 days. Anyway all good so far, using up stuff from the big freezer in the garage. I keep forgetting about my monthly/2 monthly subscriptions from Amazon. I want to get it all sorted by beginning of next year as we will be doing a megga sort out in the house as we will be (fingers crossed) retiring in July.Mortgage free September 2021. Narrowboat brought October 2021

Hi there, can I join in this month please. Been MIA for a few months and it is showing in my spending. Please can you put me down for £250 for December which includes Christmas dinner bits. Thanks

Carried over £3.22 from last month so total for December is £253.22.
Done first part of shopping today: Lidl for bulk purchase of UHT milk and tomatoes; had also run out of fruit so picked up a pack of grapes to tide us over - total £10.60. Morrisons for eggs (3 dozen FR) plus a tin of beans to try as not tried them before and like to buy those in bulk too (usually buy in Lidl but they didn't have their own brand) - total £5.17.
Leaves £237.45 for rest of month.
Will need to go into the local town to get the rest of shopping needed plus a visit to butchers to buy sausages for this month's weekend breakfasts but will do that tomorrow as also need to pick up my glasses from the opticians.
