Spend over the weekend £43.82 but that includes veg bag and I shouldn't need to spend anything till next Friday now. I have loads of cold chicken and a sausagemeat pie in the fridge, as well as plenty of veg cheese and eggs so week sorted. I got a celeriac the size of a rugby ball in my veg bag so that will make soup and gratin/ mash“the princess jumped from the tower & she learned that she could fly all along. she never needed those wings.”

Would love to reduce my budget a bit more but realistically it won't happen with my very unpopular cat (threaten to take him back to the Blue Cross regularly now) who is refusing to eat more than half a tin or pouch. Atrocious waste of perfectly good cat food!. Will have to switch him to all dry food at this rate. Rant over.....
So it's £90 again please elsiepac That's for me, furry monster's food, cat litter all cleaning and toiletries. Calendar month 1-31 December.
Will go over all my receipts for the last couple of months and see if I can cut back on any human consumption! Nice little job over Christmas.4 -

Suffolk_lass saidOur cat was the runt of the litter and as a kitten she used to lose out. Now her sister is gone, she has no competition for food and has become more needy - it is a reassurance thing - so we give her about a fifth of a pouch and a nice stroke with some verbal reinforcement as we put it down, her tail goes up and she eats a bit (all if it is chicken or lots of jelly) - then repeat with husband an hour later. She has a ready bowl of dried food if she is hungry but the wet food is very much a ritual of praise and reinforcement about belonging and being part of the gang. She typically has five or six mini-meals (morning x 2 early evening x2 then bed-time x 1-2). She's very contented really but came from a rescue place and the belonging stuff is still really important7

Thank you elsiepac for doing this thread. As I've said before it really does help keep us accountable, even if we blow the budget.December starts in just a week! This year while difficult has at least seemed to have gone fast (but then I work in a Supermarket so things have been busier for most this year). Our December budget is quite a large £350. (Mostly save for the extras and treats throughout the year)The month goes 1st to the 31st.This is for two adults, my OH and I, and a chinchilla. Includes all food and drink (except alcohol), cleaning products, toiletries etc and all chinchilla items (food, hay, sand, treats etc).
We celebrate Yule/Solstice and we will be making a full dinner for 4 in this budget, other 2 people are in our bubble. If my parents are able to get back into the country for Christmas we will go to theirs but a lot of the vegan bits I will bring and so pay for. If not it will be Christmas dinner at home and likely a video call.£0/£350.£350 left.I am a vegan woman. My OH is a lovely omni guy3 -
