    Hi all.

BWLEGAL have been in touch again today with a letter before claim. I assume I still don't need to carry out any action at present? Ive only got a year left before this expires. The last post mentioned bylaws and since reading the newbie thread again there is mention of relevant land? Would a marina fall into this category?

Do  I need to send this now also?

    Dear Sirs,

    Your Ref. ############
    Proposed Legal Proceedings
    Claimant: xxxxxx xxxxxxxx Ltd

I refer to your letter of claim.

I confirm that my address for service for the time being - assuming you don't faff about and delay any claim - is as follows, and any older address must be erased from your records:
    [Correct address here]

The alleged debt is disputed and any court proceedings will be vigorously defended.

I am sourcing and seeking independent debt advice and as such, I formally request that this matter be put on hold for an additional 30 days, in accordance with the Pre-Action Protocol for Debt Claims 2017 ('the PAP').

I note that the amount being claimed has increased by a hugely exaggerated amount which the Government called "extorting money from motorists".

Don't send me your usual blather about that.
I have two questions, and under the PAP I am entitled to specific answers:

Yes, email the LoC response template to B W Legal

Ports normally have bylaws, so it may be that the marina is subject to bylaws , meaning that it would not be relevant land under pofa legislation

I think I have reported previously that customerinfo@bwlegal.co.uk, info@bwlegal.co.uk, complaints@bwlegal.co.uk and disputeresolution@bwlegal.co.uk do work and parking@bwlegal.co.uk does not.  Note the spellings in bold!

Yeah I have not recieved a reply on any of them. I assume I have to use the portal? Its stupid that they have no means of contact other than excepting their terms and portal. It feels to me like you creating an account is you confirming you have a contract with them.

Thanks for the typo catch. Will double check and re-send

Ok after updating the email addresses provide by LE_CLERK they responded, thanks. I've moved address and they want my old one. I'm not sure why, they know who I am as they have placed it on hold. I assume providing this is ok? (I did inform them of my new address on the email prior. )

    Good Afternoon

Please note that we have placed your account on a 30 day hold, please contact us within the next 30 days with an update.

Please can you provide your previous address and current living address so that we can update your address for you.

A PCN is not subject to VAT as it is not an invoice. A PCN is a reminder of your contractual obligations to adhere to the terms and conditions of parking and notification that these terms have been breached due to no trace of payment.

    Kind Regards

Give them old address, new address, VRM and any PCN refs so they can join the dots.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
