Judgement was given in the favour of the claimant because there was a breach of contract. Judge said it was a minimal breach and ordered that i only have to pay £20 and also the claimant fee for application and hearing so in total i have to pay £70.

Judge didn't hear any cases of county courts he said he doesn't have to hear them. If it was a higher court may be different so i didn't get a good chance with discussing excel v wilkinson.

Permission for appeal was denied to the claimant

Unfortunate that you didn't win, but you can take heart that you've cost the PPC a fair wedge of money ... it's cost them far more than £70 to pursue this claim. :)

And £50 of the £70 is to cover the issue and trial fees which the PPC had to pay out.

FYI the PPC will emerge several hundred pounds light.
You never know how far you can go until you go too far.

I think losing but only for £20 plus fees is a win!  Also you are in pocket from your earlier counterclaim!

I have received a letter from Excel saying that they have a ccj against me and i need to pay the amount. I will be making the payment on monday and i will send excel an email with the receipt, is the court usually Cc'd in email so they are aware i have made payment? Is there anything i need to do to ensure this ccj is off my credit file?

Surely if there was a CCJ, you would have been to court and the judge would have issued an Order rather than take the word of a PPC?

What do you mean they have a CCJ against you?  Is this relating to this case where you were ordered to pay twenty quid or whatever, and did you pay it within 30 days?
