Getting very near to opening day. Really looking forward to it.
As Sue said any amount saved is great. Little and often has been fairly painless for me but we all have our own ways, whatever works.
Potted a few more pounds from savings I made on shopping.
    Have a great weekend everyone.

  • Potted £6.11 from cashback today.  I know my total will not be brilliant but it will be better than nothing!  People whom I usually buy Christmas gifts for are beginning to suggest we just send cards again this year.  That's fine by me.  I can use my sealed pot total for DD's family gifts :)

I hope everyone is ok and all poorly people are beginning to feel better.  We had our flu jabs yesterday.  Felt ok initially (not even a sore arm) but had a restless night and feel a bit tired and bleurg this morning.  It will pass.

    Have a lovely day x

  • Evening all, long time no write.

Congratulations to those who have new babies in the family, a new home and hugs to those who have had a few health issues by the look of things.  Sue - we have holidayed in Verwood 3 times so know Ringwood quite well as well.  Hope your meds are kicking in!

I've got a couple of £2s in my purse from last week, but it's going to be a low total this year due to plundering my Plum account to pay for the repairs to my car.  But at least I had that to fall back on!  I've had quite a few Ebay sales as well so usually count them in so they will boost my total a bit.

Stay well and take care all x

I’ve potted £5.  I broken into a note to buy some chocolates for a neighbour as he mended the puncture on Alex’s bike.  Though I may as well pot the change.

Evening all Potters! I hope you've all enjoyed a gorgeous weekend. Have a really good week ahead.

For all those not feeling so good or are a little low, please take care, and I really hope you're soon back with us.  For now, here are some hugs and look after yourselves ❤️

You're right in all you say, Ant, whatever folk can manage to pot throughout the year is the way we save on SPC and however much each individual has potted on Declaration Day will be absolutely fantastic!! 🤗 I hope everyone ends up thrilled to bits, proud too however much they achieve! ☺️

    Great potting again Ant!!

Don't be at all embarrassed, welshspendthrift, it's the type of thing that I'm capable of too! 🤭
I'm so pleased you're looking forward to counting up and declaring, and whatever you do with the money saved will certainly come in handy!
Many thanks for the get well wishes, my family are getting much better, especially our darling little GGS, it's so wonderful to hear him so happy.
Our DGS's partner has finally been hit with it, but fortunately, he's not affected too badly at all!!

    Ooh very well done, scotmumof3!!
6 of ours are pretty much recovered now, thank you, but 1 late arrival caught it after the rest, but not too badly hit thank goodness!

Excellent potting so to speak, A little_sweetie!! ☺️ I quite agree with the not giving to friends at Christmas, after all how often is something received that really isn't needed or necessary.
Whatever you've saved you can now enjoy the giving far more! 😃

T & I had our flu jabs too, no affects from them, but by golly did it hurt when she gave it, still does and bruised too! 😡
All 6 pretty much recovered, thank you, but 1 "late to the party", though so far he's not been too badly hit, fingers crossed!!

Ah there you are MrsShazbat! So you know Ringwood fairly well too! Sadly, it's changed dramatically from when we were young sadly not for the better! 😡 Verwood, like everywhere else has certainly expanded over the years, still likeable though.
Sadly, the pills were no good, the 2 lots I've taken for yonks are so tiring, but in 2 days of taking the new ones I was like a zombie, truthfully!! I'm still waiting to hear back from the Neurologist to see what other treat she has in store!

Don't forget to include all the money used when you declare, the Eb!y sales too, it all adds up, and however much you've saved will end up coming in come in handy for you I'm sure! 🤗
    You take care too.

Really well done, Hetty! That was very kind of him, and I'm glad you made the most of it.

Have a really good evening, a lovely week too folks, and care & STAY HEALTHY!!

    Sue xx

Sue-UU I thought I was being a whimp with my flu jab as it really hurt; end of the day so guessed my “administrator” had just got a bit rough!  I felt a bit achey with a sore throat the day after but otherwise OK.  I have spent money otherwise destined for the pot on bulbs which are now in the garden ready to cheer up the spring days 😁. These few days of warmth and sunshine have been good for the soul and I’ve enjoyed my coffee break outside watching the bees.  One of the benefits of working from home 🏡

Glad to hear the family are on the mend Sue_UU, a relief for everyone I'm sure.  I hope the MRI scan went well and will perhaps give you some answers.  Even if little can be done, it's such a relief to know what the problem is.  Fingers crossed for you all.  We also had our flu jabs last week, I was absolutely fine all day but felt so very cold overnight and spent hours laying awake trying to pluck up the courage to go to the kitchen and get some paracetamol!  Horrible sleep and felt dreadful next day, mainly through lack of sleep, I think, but all good now, thank goodness.  Sending hugs to anyone who needs them  <3

DD had a surprise baby shower on Saturday and it was so lovely to meet up with some family members who I haven't seen since my dear mother passed away.  A lovely afternoon and DD was absolutely thrilled, well done to DSIL for organising it.

£6.75 in the pot today.  Enjoy the rest of the week Potters - not long now!!!!!
