Thanks, I tried e-mailing them again just now before calling, and I finally got the automated e-mail reply this time. So you're right, it seems they must be open in order for the auto reply to be sent.

Look again at that list you were following when you filed your Defence.
There is a line in there that looks like:6. After filing your Defence, there is more to do.Start reading from there.4
