  • IF clamping was reintroduced then it could be a means of getting unemployed people back into work ... no more ANPR / DVLA / everything done remotely - boots on the ground "earning" a wage to fit (and remove) clamps. Reduces government burden for unemployment benefit / universal credit and puts more money into the economy!

    Don't forget the increase in purchase (and manufacturing knock on effect) of bolt croppers, battery powered ankle* grinders, DC - AC Inverters/Generators, mains powered ankle* grinders, baseball bats, tyre levers, big hammers, socket and spanner sets, not to mention towing dollies, locksmiths, lockpick sets, bodyguards, and body armour.
    Clamping could get the whole UK economy back on its feets in a jiffy. 

    *Not spelling mastikes.
