More traffic = more payment from adverts.
Dependant on the answer of the above would effect if it was the correct move to make.0 -

Dependant on the answer of the above would effect if it was the correct move to make.I’m a Senior Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Competition Time, Site Feedback and Marriage, Relationships and Families boards. the only way DT (and other boards) is going to open is if they remove the report button, that way they wont have to deal with all the button pushing snowflakes that haunt these boards.2

The annual Strictly Come Dancing thread in the Arms tried relocating to TV Money Saving on Saturday, but it was deleted. Fair enough as not quite the right place - but where can we go now, on MSE?
It is a trouble free thread with a fair crowd of regulars, so it would be a shame to lose it.I can cook and sew, make flowers grow.2 -

The boards I use are still as active as ever. Just went on "new posts" and there's 6 pages of posts made in the last hour! Hardly a dying forum!I think the problem was that DT and the arms were supposed to be a diversion for money savers, but for a large number of people they became the main event, people who had no or little interest in discussing money saving or finance and just came here to discuss politics, TV etc. The clue is in the URL, this site is about money saving, not for ranting about Tories eating babies or discussing who did the best foxtrot etc.The house price board was even worse, it was pathetic, mostly willy waving house price rampers going "na na na na na" to "crash trolls" and vv rather than any real "debate". Don't really blame MSE for closing them.1

Seems to me that a number of people want to justify to themselves why they still spend a lot of time on MSE , could it be that they are too lazy to find other forums? there are many of them out there with better formats and to be quite honest that are better run, i've found some excellent sites since all but abandoning MSE all of which offer far better forums.1
