No i'm not actually, I pop onto MSE now and then out of habit, DT has been closed for almost 8 months and there is no justifiable reason for that.duncanthedog said:
and yet here you are, still waiting for DT to re-open.venison said:Seems to me that a number of people want to justify to themselves why they still spend a lot of time on MSE , could it be that they are too lazy to find other forums? there are many of them out there with better formats and to be quite honest that are better run, i've found some excellent sites since all but abandoning MSE all of which offer far better forums.

The Forum team closed DT and other boards because they were getting too many people clicking on the Report button rather than just ignoring the post that they were reading. The Forum team is obviously enjoying the relative peace that they are getting now with these boards being closed and I would say that is a good enough reason to keep the boards closed.2 -

there is no denying that since the update early this year MSE has lost more and more membersduncanthedog said:Must still be a popular forum otherwise the spammers would not bother posting on it.0 -
They've been too busy dreaming up ridiculous questions such as "Is it time to ban Christmas presents".1

There are multiple threads over several boards that by any definition are general discussion. They may be relevant to that particular board but they are not about money saving. The admin have either given up or no longer care. If you want to post a general discussion just find the relevant board.2
