Note the third word here...

Seems quite clear to me.

Absolutely @KeithP and @nosferatu1001 - had not read that correctly myself. Wonderful, thanks for pointing out the complete obvious, teaches me to read it more carefully in future.
Onwards to the prep for WS and Evidence then

Its a key lesson.
You must read documents carefully, especially court ones!2 -
Naturally that's clear. Its my own fault for quick reading whilst in the midst of work meetings. It was in my ToDo pile to read and collate documentation in the next days.nosferatu1001 said:Its a key lesson.

But by NOT doing so, you've taken up multiple volunteeers valuable time answering
PLlease be mindful of others time. WE're here to help, but dont be seen to abuse that

Note also (for much later down the line) the order about the bundle, and that the C's solicitor must compile it. (Ignore the ring binder statement - it'll almost certainly be a phone/video hearing and so an electronic bundle). Make sure you carefully check the bundle once a copy is served on you - it's not unknown for a C to doctor the D's section (to e.g. make photos look blurry and less impactful) to try to weaken the D's case; check also that they don't slide in some evidence that wasn't part of their WS. If either happens then you'll need to jump on it to make the court aware.Jenni x6

hi all,
quick check for me to ensure i'm correct....hearing is 4th june, WS and Evidence required 28 days beforehand. Am i correct in assuming this is 28 days inclusive of weekends? Just wanted to check there wasn;t an element that only counted working days....
If its not inclusive of working days, i am planning deadline as 7th May 2021.0 -
28 days means 28 days , no ambiguity there , you are overthinking it for no good reason
Subtract 28 days on a calendar or diary from 4th June , or make it more days and submit sooner !!3 -
Quick one all - witness statement for my partner who was also with me. Referenced 2 witnesses on the DQ N180.
Obviously have my witness statements and exhibits, but how should my other witness give feedback? couldnt find any templates for another witness...0 -
Type it out whatever it is the witness wants to say, then append the Statement of Truth. Place it in your bundle. Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .
I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.
