  • I'm off to 'Be Kind Rewind' this evening with two of my kids, so will probably fall asleep given the reviews it has been given on here. Was interested to read what you are all saying about 'The Bank Job' though-was debating not going but will definitely find a babysitter now as everyone seems to have really enjoyed it.

:A Just back from Be Kind Rewind. What a joy! From an easy romp, the film little by little develops into a homage to the history of cinema, using the idea of "The Pirate Bay" as an excuse to get to eventually make their own film. Jack BlacK and Mos Def as the intrepid creators! 8/10:T :T :T :A

Just back from Be Kind Rewind. Oh dear. What pants. The film couldn't decide whether it wanted to be hilarious (reshoot all the blockbusters) or have a serious topic (save the local videostore and bring the community together), so it was neither really funny nor moving, the ending was complete nonsense, and I never knew that Mia Farrow could be so irritating! I wanted go give it a 4, the OH plumped for 2, so for a middle ground I am giving this film 3/10, which is the same rating I would give the Odeon Panton Street, which wasn't overly comfy, and I was just glad I had no one in front of me! The guys to our left seemed to find the film hilarious and laughed out loud at every slapstick moment, the couple to our right didn't pay the film any attention but snogged all the way through. Ah well, time to change my signature. Lurlene and anteena1, you are members 22 and 23 now.
