BadCat - maybe your oomph and my oomph are having a great time somewhere without us! I can just imagine my oomph ringing yours and saying 'it's pretty intense here too, shall we slip away for the weekend while they are asleep?' Being oomphs they won't be laid on a beach somewhere - more likely to be bungee jumping or sky diving or another activity that requires oomph. Yes, I know. I'm crazy....but I've finally learned to embrace my weirdness
I've been catching up on Fb and agreed to visit a colleague tomorrow - to meet her chickens. J is off sick at the moment - anxiety. It's a rare world we are living in when I am the least anxious and watching everyone drop around me.
I really must get dressed if nothing else. My feet are cold - so it's put some socks on, or turn on the heating. mse tip - it's cheaper to put on socks.
Round 1
get dressed
put out recycling / rubbish - detritus from last night's pizzas
feed the birds
sort washing into loads
set first load swishing

Morning all,
Pretty sure that my oomph hasn’t done a midnight flit. It is just downright lazy, is laughing at me, and needs a good kick. But I haven’t got the oomph to do it...
It’s been a topsy turvy week. I’ve found myself back to checking the news every 5 minutes, which didn’t end well back in March, so needs to stop now. It’s our wedding anniversary today (errr who saw those 28 years go?😳), and DH has bought me a rather nice bracelet. Not at all mse, and totally against what I thought we had agreed, but very lovely.
DD has gone to work. DW is running. WM is on, and washing will be (mse alert here) hung outside, primarily because there is no other space, but also as it is free!
I am now going to pick the last chillis and the remaining basil from the gh, then put the thicker cover on the veg trug - as growing your own is mse, I believe.
Hugs all round. We all need them, I think.7 -
Fayolle happy anniversary xxRound ~ I think a lot of people are feeling oomph lacking.I've done the ironingFound OH's lost left sock, blimey he has loads of socks but wanted the left and right ones (yes they are a pair and the sort of thing you would give to a small child..........! )Raining hereOH sorting out next weeks food / meal plan.Plus I have just had a lecture over saving electricity from him, err who has a laptop on permanent plug in?Anyway off to check my submitted tax returns as I think I may have made a mistake, I want to see if I have and how to correct it, as it could be worth cir. £500 to me as a refund............Have good day and make time for yourself today.Breast Cancer Now 100 miles October 2022 100 / 100miles

Round 1 completed - at one point I thought that someone had swapped my laundry hamper for Mary Poppin's bag!!! No wonder I struggled to carry it down! Anyhoo it's all sorted in to loads now and first load is swishing. Yesterday's towels / tea towels wash has aired on the radiators and is now folded and ready to be put away - so I feel in front of myself even though I can't see the kitchen floor for piles of washing.
I've put a bowl of pots to soak so that's my next job - WUDUPA a bowl of pots.
Hugs

ETA - asb what's a 'life admin' to do list? I'm wondering if it's something that would make my life easier. xxIT ONLY TAKES SMALL DAILY ACTIONSFOR MAGIC TO HAPPENRosemary Ikpeme7 -
Me again
mini oomph came for a visit! DH gone out to do some garden jobs while it’s dryish, very windy though! I have washed and dressed (including socks lol) scrubbed the bathroom, emptied, washed and refreshed the litter trays, emptied upstairs bins, dusted office and spare room, opened windows to air the house, put washing on the line (mse) loaded and set to swish next lot.
next job is hoover top floor rooms, landing and top flight of stairs so I’m off to do that before oomph runs away again!5 -
I'm out of bed, showered, dressed and fed, as is Poppy.
Have washing to peg out but tomorrow's forecast is better than today's so I might leave it.
Loads of admin tasks to do.
Hot tip - Lidl are posting out a leaflet with a £5 off a £25 spend coupon - keep an eye out if you're near a Lidl. They are now getting in lots of Xmas stock too.

Thank you Honey Bear7 -
Washing on the line, dw emptied, leftovers turned into lunch (being true to mse).
Greenhouse glass washed down using an old mop that it seems I had saved for the purpose, so there is light again instead of grime.
Basil and chillis now to be frozen. Errant courgette picked from amongst the flowers - seems that it self seeded there. Surely that is mse as well...free plant, free food!7 -
Well.. OH was supposed to be fitting the new back door.. so left his drill at work.
Boog was asked to go buy bread and milk.. he eats all the bread and has eaten 10lb of bacon and 2 blocks of cheese this week.. anyway.. off they trotted upstairs and is hiding in the bedroom.. I am spitting feathers.. NOT happy.. DS2 has gone to shop with Squeak for bread milk and bits for dinner.. I have a stressy eye twitch on and if Pixie does not stop buzzing I may have to lock her in the shed.. I loathe buzzing, and tapping.. and currently all noise it would appear.
My right hip hurts and my left hip is agony and is making me feel sick.. I daren't take any meds for it because I then do nothing and I have loads to get done.. my foot is tingly and the outside of my leg from my hip to ankle feels cold.. it isn't cold but the nerves are doing weird things. I am starting to think I am developing dementia (I am not even joking, I am getting concerned), I can not think straight, I have permanent fuzzy head, I am forgetting really simple words and incredibly irritable.. there is definitely something amiss in my head. I can no longer read because I can not focus or concentrate.. I have just gone into a spiral of flinging and moving one piece of rubbish to a different place.. I have considered going for hearing and vision tests to see if there is a sensory problem there to rule out the easy things first... then I get agitated and cannot deal with people.. plus it means going out and I can't cope with masks.. I am exempt but can not look at others wearing them and can't hear a word if they speak to me. Today I am Queen Moaning Myrtle... I am going to throw things in the bin/CS box/Tip pile, see if it helps any.
Washing brought in off the line and aired in the TD.. it has been out for 3 days and is about as dry as the weather will allow.
Guy booked for door/window quotes for Wednesday morning.I need to set up boiler cover .. I let the BG one lapse because they wanted £5 more than a new customer would have to pay and I'm not prepared to pay it... so I let it lapse, leave it a bit and they send me begging offers.. it's becoming an annual thing lol
hope the oomphs soon return.. my GUAG got up and left town.. I think it joined a circus!
I need a new taplop asap.. OH has needed one a while.. the processor fan is sticking on mine and a replacement is not to be found.. I need new graphics too as the drivers have stopped being updated so I am stuffed.. OH wants a desktop so I'm thinking he can do that and I will steal it when he is out and get a cheap taplop for me to scrat about online when he is home.
House jobs/repairs list is growing.. now .. Plaster moomins room, repoint outside, new back door, new french doors, new front door, new living room carpet, new Moomin carpet, fit stair carpet, kitchen ceiling replastering (after the leaky shower killed it) new sofabed for middle room, move the gas meter, new rug for back room, bathroom tiling, flooring for bathroom and WC. DPM sorting in backroom chimney breast and finally (at the moment) a quote for external insulation which is unlikely to happen but I may as well ask.. That bank robbery is looking necessary lolLB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)6 -
Hi all
I have just skimmed through, have been away for the week, stayed in a cottage miles away from anywhere, didnt eat out or go in any shops, and managed to walk just under 35 miles, enjoy the countryside and take lots of photos. Did a lot of thinking.
Dizzy so sorry to hear about your Mum, sending you lots of love.
ASB I saw your post about MH, negativity, and work. I could have written that. I am a manager with a lot of responsibility, and I get well paid for doing it, but there are times when I wonder if its what I really want. I certainly don't love my job, which is a bit sad. Until we get our mortgage and debts paid off I have no choice but to keep doing what I do, but I have to find a way of not letting it take over my life. I have also got into this mindset of seeing everything so negatively and I am going to have to make a conscious effort to change that.
Sorry if I have missed anything important, will catch up with you all properly over next few days xx

I hung out the second load of washing - it rained. Left it - hoping it will have dried a bit now.
DS and GF went to town. Phone rings - Mum I've got a flat tyre. I've suggested that if his spare tyre is ok he puts that on, if not there is a 24/7 tyre fitter advertised working from town - ring them. Not sure if road side assistance that you get with your insurance go out to flat tyres - but asked him to check that.
Well, that's any residual oomph packed its bags and left. If I aren't fed up.
