Thanks Farway, I’ve just nipped it off.I hope you’re right 2p, a plum tree would do me rightly."One has to free oneself from the illusion that international climate change policy is environmental policy. Instead, climate change policy is about how we redistribute de facto the world's wealth." - Ottmar Edenhofer, IPCC economist, interviewed at COP165

I don't have a plum, but while I was waiting for my lunch to warm up I figured I'd join the craze and take a few bud snaps. I realised after labelling I'd forgotten I changed my apple choice from limelight to greensleeves (due to available rootstock at time of delivery), but I'm too lazy to do it again so feel free to judge

I'm not an early bird or a night owl; I’m some form of permanently exhausted pigeon.8 -
That’s a veritable orchard Arb 👏🏻😊"One has to free oneself from the illusion that international climate change policy is environmental policy. Instead, climate change policy is about how we redistribute de facto the world's wealth." - Ottmar Edenhofer, IPCC economist, interviewed at COP164

Yes... because that's all of them... honest... I've not planted too many trees or anything...YoungBlueEyes said:That’s a veritable orchard Arb 👏🏻😊I'm not an early bird or a night owl; I’m some form of permanently exhausted pigeon.4 -
All this is making me wonder if I have too many trees… my garden isn’t all that big and when they mature they’ll be lovely looking but how much shade am I creating? That’s it. No more trees, bargains or otherwise

Remember, you can train the trees, they don't have to be forest giants, shame you're not buying any more, T & M have a new offer right now, £15 for 3 patio fruit trees.
And my Purple Haze apple is on its way
, just dispatched, Evri are waiting for it to go in the squasher machine & it's roots have dried out before they deliverMeanwhile, here is a pic of my plum's buds, as you can see they are in cluster so unlikely YBE mystery is a plum

I apologise, it was thirty pages since my last read, but i wanted to play too so...Quince
Medlar

Think I'm going to have to youtube growing in a fan in a pot for a couple of these...Non me fac calcitrare tuum culi7 -

I thought you were doing ‘Hail whoever the patron saint of gardening’ is there, taff...
I’m absolutely freeeezing 🥶 the sun disappeared hours ago and we’ve even had hailstones. I’ve been moving furniture instead of gardening, it was just too cold and wet to be outside. The electric is back on, but the electrician is back so I’m now upstairs keeping the pussycat out of the way. DH is downstairs with the fire 🔥 on, lucky so and so.
Meanwhile, I’m so envious of you all with your fruit trees. I’m tempted by that offer, Farway. I’m not allowed to plant trees in the garden, but I’m sure I could get away with them being in pots...'A watched potato will never chit'...6 -
YBL, they're all quite small, and three are in pots
and one will be going in a pot when I get my gardening mojo back...The medlar is just one twig, the fig is about 3 ft max, the apple tree is still a failed experiment and is going in a pot for me to try and fan train it, and the quince is the only one that looks like a proper tree, if still a tree suitable for half sized people...PP, I was going for , it's been more than thirty pages since my last confession
