Awful weather - typical Brits talk

Well darn Farway, I threw away loads of canes last autumn - but then I was getting rust so not really any good.Bluey, re the bad bottom/hip thingy + I was making good progress myself but then had a really bad spell. The cold and wet don't help.As for waiting, no doctor we have 1-14000, muscular skeletal said they had no appointments so look on YouTube, Podiatry (because the length of time for treatment has caused probs with feet) waiting time 2.5yrs!!!!!!!!!!!So will keep plodding along.Dusty, the thing with the parking is the small free one in winter leads to a great path further down with no one on it.The paid parking is down to the tea rooms so busy.Grey and very cold here. Washing is out again in the hope of getting drier. It's really not inviting. But some cheerful news is my Japanese Quince has continued to flower since Christmas. That was a really good buy for early flowers. The scented Viburnum? has survived. Still some yellowing of the leaves. Both the posh Helebores are doing well. I'd recommend but they are huge compared to the originals. See by the everlasting wallflower that's still just making it. The original white and purple one has seeded everywhere and flowering like a good 'unThe rose is still with us - that was a rescue, almost dead one for £2.and last but not least - Love in the Mist throws up a flower now and then. Mostly in the veg patch.

That's awful with the 'care' you're getting 2p.
OK, I've had none yet, but I get to speak with the physio crew in under a month, so should get “somewhere” before Easter. I know from Mrs Dusty's experience they're using delaying tactics, and I don't mind taking responsibility for exercises etc, but it's important to know what the problem is first, before diving into YouTube!
Yesterday's 4.5 miles is telling on me today.Mind you, banging in fence posts to sort out damage from storm Henk isn't the easiest job to choose, but it's urgent. One of these days I'll get a straight run at the garden!
Lots blooming in yours. It seems your scented viburnum is a Daphne. And although your hellebores look perfectly healthy, don't forget to take the old leaves off and dispose....says he who hasn't done the harder-to-reach ones by the stream.

Bladdy hell 2p - see if you can’t fix yourself with internet videos to fill your 2 1/2 year wait?! Christ sake. Maybe you should start a funding page thing? I’m sure using “broken bum” in the title would help 👍🏻
That’s possibly not the worst idea actually. I’ve seen people asking for money for far more vacuous and frivolous things…I removed the shell from my racing snail, but now it's more sluggish than ever.5 -
Yup, I started the research and vids 5yrs ago. Mostly made mistakes.Come home with some ginger to go in honey and camomile tea (anti inflam), got pineapple (same) and I'll even fling some turmeric in for good measureAh yes Dusty. I realised when I got home and saw the Viburnum in the front garden 'ooops!'I forgot to add that, and the Jingle Bells Clematis. That's doing better than I thought but it's lost it's way a bit. I'm itching to get it draped the other way where it can be seen at the mo.I actually managed a walk in the woods and a bit of an explore today. And found the secret garden I've heard about for years and couldn't find. Nothing much, a clearing, bench and view over the valley but now I feel so smug

It's been a beautiful day here, but icy cold. I was out for a 4-mile walk this afternoon and lost count of the times I nearly fell as it was so skitey underfoot.
My Calamondin still looks dead the worse for wear, YBE. I gave it some citrus feed today.
Lovely flowery picsI noticed gorse open on my walk today (pic to follow).
Interesting about the podiatry experiences - I've actually got a face to face appointment this coming week after about a year from referral?? I had a delaying tactic telephone consultation about 4/5 months ago - basically told me to stop wearing Skechers because of the memory foam (and didn't listen when I told her mine don't actually have memory foam)... I'm not sure what to expect from this appointment, but I'm just grateful to be seeing someone.'A watched potato will never chit'...5 -
My trees finally got planted
Local gardener man just turned up unexpected and asked if I still wanted them doing as it was dry and he was in the area.
They looks a bit lost as they're 1 or 2 year old twigs in the middle of what looks like a mud bath still, so it's going to be a while until I get any fruit, but now they're in and spaced where I want them, it gives a bit of structure for where the raised beds etc will go.
Hopefully I can get at least one raised bed built before the end of March so I can get some plants in for this year.I'm not an early bird or a night owl; I’m some form of permanently exhausted pigeon.6 -
I was going to suggest that folks needing a Pod check out their local undergrad courses, as the unis have to run clinics for their students to get practice and they are usually allow self referral. But your area only has Plymouth, Brighton and Cardiff.
Pity, as they are easier to train than medics and good ones could save an awful lot of in patient incidents and amputations. If you've have not made a mistake, you've made nothing5 -
Not the best pic because we were in the shade, but I liked the fact that there was a Christmas tree 🎄 next to it.
Congratulations on the tree planting, AR - exciting to get that done 😁'A watched potato will never chit'...5 -

They're very light, but they don't improve my memory.I do remember seeing the gorse out and commenting on it, though.
A teeny weeny bit in this picture, (right side) which is the only 'pretty' one I took.As you can see, no sunshine."There is no such thing as a low-energy rich country." Dr Chris Martenson. Peak Prosperity5 -
Ha! Wearing sketchers but they are very old ones and have an arch support. I've been looking but only the memory foam ones.
Hotter do arch supports in their lace up. Some nice ones too. Just costalotta. I've got a few pairs almost new from the charity shops for a few pounds.
Great news on the fruit trees Arb. I know with the size, mine are dwarf, 5+ yrs old and just giving a few fruits.
Much like the rest of the garden now. Stuff in but so slow. Heatwaves and icy blasts don't help.
Poppy thats a beaut.
Gorse blooms all year somewhere and so the saying 'when gorse is out of bloom, kissings out of season'
Ras, yes.I started out with a muscular prob and pandemic, doctors retiring at 50 and it's all to pot. I think the clapping went to their heads.I can rise and shine - just not at the same time!
