I think arty stuff would be easier than flowers'n'stuff out there, but budget doesn't allow. And I don't even know what those things cost! Suspect a chunky win on the lottery might be required....Boxing Hares about 8' high and £12000.
Wee dog, only in the hundreds.
I will be featuring some birds made from cutlery later this week, but I was so busy trying to get the snaps right, I didn't look at the prices.
Can Himself weld spoons?

Can Himself weld spoons?I wish I could play them, always wanted to since a nipper, it's only my lack of skill or musical talent that prevents me, apart from that I'm sure it would be a unique life skill to have.PS can't make glass art eitherEight out of ten owners who expressed a preference said their cats preferred other peoples gardens4 -
Funny there were stalls with stuff made from spoons, jewellery mainly but pretty and not at all useless bits of objet d’art (sp?) which I honestly think I could have done myself. But the leaves and trees were striking. Show us if you buy something Arb
I said to himself would he ever start welding spoons to make a fortune that I can spend on actual dogs, metal dogs, boxing hares, star gazey hared made from stone, and garden stuff in general. He gave me the side-eye while holding up his table saw mangled hand. Welding setups are prolly a bit spendy anyway…Is that a Spike Milligan quote Farway? Apparently there’s a yootoob vid for bladdy everything now, so never say never!I removed the shell from my racing snail, but now it's more sluggish than ever.5 -
Someone I know was in York yesterday, YBE and said the same as you - absolutely rammed. Apparently there were three chartered steam trains at the station for the Christmas markets to add to the zillions of other people there. York is always super busy, it's a gorgeous place and one of my favourite places to visit.'A watched potato will never chit'...4

Synchronicity! I'd just posted the video above, when into my feed came this one:Nothing remarkable about that, but back in August, I posted this:"The weather folk seemed to agree there would be a break-down in the fine, settled period just in time for the Bank Holiday , so I thought I'd grab a bit of it by the coast. Didn't walk more than a few miles and couldn't get lost, but we stayed clear of those crowds in the distance."Do you see what I see?"There is no such thing as a low-energy rich country." Very interesting and attractive works of art YBE and Dusty, but take heart and don't yearn for things that are currently fashionable and costing a lot, because waiting until whatever it is goes out of fashion and is donated to your local charity shop or sold at auction is much better value. Have a look at these results from a local auction house as an example.
Very wet here with rain all last night and nearly all Friday night as well, I managed an hour and half of weeding yesterday and excavated a creeping buttercup that had a tap root that was well on its way to the centre of the earth with much digging and swearing. It was raining this morning and only sort of dried up so I chickened out of doing any more today and just went for a quick walk where I took this snap so you can see how waterlogged we are here. The main channel of the Thames is rushing along at a great rate with lots of foam on top of the water and looking very cold and nasty.

Oh those wee trains pp, they're lovely and people go mad for them. The crowds didn't need adding to though, imo. Tbf there's probably no way to go when it's quiet because it never is quiet. But good luck to the people on the stalls and I hope they make £squillions cos they'll have earned it
You could've put a 'turn your speakers down a bit before pressing play' warning on that Dusty! I could listen to hours of that, great name tooWhat am I looking at in your house vid and pic...?
I enjoyed your link gf, those lots are for nothing! I could have gone for nearly everything on page 2, out of fashion sure does equal cheap. Draughty musty smelling salerooms are much more me than christmas markets, that's a fact. I like your pic too, you don't need smell-o-vision for that one eh.
It did indeed rain all day yesterday - well done drunkards - but none forecast today. No wind though and high humidity so I'll not get a wash on
I hesitate to mention films again, but if anyone's bored 5USA is showing the Jesse Stone films again. Tom Selleck as a homicide cop in a small town, fighting corruption and being straight talking. And he has a dog. It's worth watching them in order if you can but they stand alone fine. And his dog is gorgeousI removed the shell from my racing snail, but now it's more sluggish than ever.6 -
YoungBlueEyes said:What am I looking at in your house vid and pic...?You are looking at an abandoned house, in structural danger due to the instability of the nearby cliff edge. What's weird is that it only featured as an incidental object in the only photo of it I've placed on social meja, yet YT puts it as no 1 in my new feeds. Probably coincidence, although now I think about it, perhaps I Ooogled it.
"They" know everything you Ooogle!
Cloudy and potentially a bit wet here today, with outbreaks of gusty wind. Same old.Back to the spoons, but not a Spoonbill....OK, there could be a fork in there too!"There is no such thing as a low-energy rich country." Dr Chris Martenson. Peak Prosperity4 -

Has me puzzled as well, probably obvious once spotted.Like the spoons vid, and now I realise I can play an anvil, for those who may not have done metal bashing it is "normal" to bounce the hammer on the anvil, keeps the rhythm going & also knocks off any Klingons. Off course on a factory floor one tries to synchronise, there was a hit record in 70s with metal knocks on it which used to go well with the anvils. Can't think of the name now, but it will come to me in the middle of the night no doubtGOT IT, Knock three times on the .https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nt5uNQ3FXRI..................
GF, that pic looks very soggy, I can imagine it squelchingNo gardening again, just too wet and damp
