I hope the weather’s holding out for you 2p!Same light gloom here too. Still nothingy but just less so, itms. My hand is kinda alright really ish, just my palm is a queer dark colour and it’s all a bit tender. May have to go to the docs with it
if the Oracle can’t fix it. Not that she’s ever bladdy in
Excursion up the loft ladder didn’t show anything obvious, so himself will have to have proper rootle about up there tonight.
Fingers crossed for Boiler Service Farway, hopefully nothing found that can’t be fixed with small applications of lucre. While we’re waiting on 2p’s and Farway’s pics, here’s the ones I was keeping for a quiet spell. I’ve never seen (and certainly never taken) pics like this before. It’s a BeastieCritter outside on my conservatory window. I took a pic of him from inside and when I went out he didn’t move.So here yous go - the both sides of a something.I removed the shell from my racing snail, but now it's more sluggish than ever.5 -
I had one (or more) of those outside my patio doors a month ago Bluey!
Not seen them before. Very pretty
It's a moth of some sort that's taken a liking to daylight. I moved mine after a few days and its gone somewhere else.
Think I deleted the photos. Hmmmm.....
Got some work done before unpredicted chill and muzzle came over the hill.
Probably a good thing otherwise I'd have kept going.
Glad I didn't have a wash on.I can rise and shine - just not at the same time!

Farway said:Another non gardening day, I had expected to bimble round Morrisons and peer at the plants, but it is Boiler Service dayWee patch of mould, one of those things, isn't it? Let's hope it's nothing awful or expensive.Morrisons was exactly where I ended-up after visitors departed.
There wasn't t enough day left to do anything major, so I shopped.
However....I found a Ben Sarek blackcurrant for £1.04, which was a reduction of over 50%. The leaves had just fallen, making it an obviously defective plant to the yellow sticker person.
Water tracks across surfaces in lofts, making leaks hard to trace. Sometimes there is no leak, but condensation, especially in weather like this. That 'muzzle' 2p had earlier, nipped over the moor and met me on the way home. Fingers crossed for your boiler. Ours is 7 years old now and just out of guarantee; a dangerous time!

Interesting moth there, Bluey. Not a welcome one, or normally spotted much 'oop norf. It's the global boiling again, I fear. Many box bushes in your /your neighbours' gardens?"This species has become established and is spreading, and has the potential to
have an impact on native populations of Box and disfigure ornamental Box
hedgerows and topiary. Squash the little beggars on sight! Murder them in their beds! "OK, I may have slightly misquoted, but you get the idea.

Well that would explain it darn it!My box hedge has been suffering for a couple of years. I didn't think it was blight and it looked more like caterpillar damage but I could not see them, shake them out or anything.I did in desperation spray the damaged are with bug killer and that halted it for a while.Started with bulbs in pots but finding the old compost that I use was hard as so much had seeded into it while left untended. So found Love in the Mist still blooming, a Sweet Pea still growing, a rooted bit of Winter Jasmine which I need, several fox gloves taking over a pot.In the end I couldn't see where to plant bulbs because of the long grass and tons of dried foliage so I started on pruning and tidying and it looks almost like a well kept garden now.The casualties were my 4 leafed Clover
drowned!
I got it from an older lady at one of the open gardens pre pandemic so no chance of replacing. The cheap fence trellis which has just rotted. I need to work out something for stuff to climb up now.The most surprising was a rose bud on the dark red climbing rose by the bird bath and in the winter shadow.Fingers crossed it will bloomAnd a mystery plant seeded.......couldn't photo today as it was already wet and dark suddenly and a rush to get everything in so I'll get one tomorrow.Chin up folks. 29 days to the shortest and then we're on the up again.I can rise and shine - just not at the same time!

Jesus the muck on my windows!
They don't look like that in real life. Mind I don't look at them with zoomed in eyes so they maybe do
I didn't know if it was a moth or butterfly or what, thanks for the ID Dusty. Any more I see will be fatally killed to death, no matter how pretty they are! I'm sorry I took so long putting it up here now, but I'll see who's got what in their gardens and warn them. Or add it to the Oracle's To Do list. She said my hand is fine, the colour is only a deep bruise and the tenderness is a good thing cos it means my system has sent white blood cells to the area to clear any infection and it's knitting itself back together. She laughed when I told her what I did with it (hand sanitiser gel and superglued it when it dried - still not medical advice) but said it worked well enough
Anyway so do you think that moth's the issue with your box 2p? Now you've got a starting point you be able to save it will you? Good finds there too, I like Love ina Mist. Fingers crossed your rose blooms and that your four-leaf clover is alright, the roots are beasts apparently. And how's your broken bum btw?
Himself didn't get up in to the loft last night, he's got a day off tomorrow though. I suspect it's only condensation though. I'll be properly cross if it's the roof like cos it's not long been done and cost me plenty.
OT bit windy out there, and so mild! 12' they all reckon. Dry and bright and a lovely day todayCold tomorrow though, wind rushing down from the north will feel like winter's arrived all in one go. Which is about right cos I'm out tomorrow so I'll have to look out me big coat
I removed the shell from my racing snail, but now it's more sluggish than ever.5 -
Bum, back, hip playing up right royally last night thank you. Hovering this morning so going for a beach walk with the disabled group. Not sure if I'm one of them or a helper. See how that goes before thinking of dancing this afternoon. Could make it better or worse
.
For sure it's too damp to do washing and who wants to stay in doing finances or paddling in the garden when it's dry and mild.
12c this morning but so gloomy! Only 21 days or so to the shortest and at least it will be brighter if no drier.
My windows are filthy from the rain but you can only see that in the sun so that's all right then.
Box is showing new shoots. We'll see.
Clover has had it.
Mystery plant later.I can rise and shine - just not at the same time!

I'm quite excited this morning. Mrs Dusty was due some more physio next month, but the appointment's come through on the NHS random-o-meter, and she's scored a plastic surgery appt in a completely different establishment and location.
Who knows? Many possibilities, surely? Maybe one of those right-angled bums you see on US Celebs?
Or how about pouty lips?
Hmm...on second thoughts, perhaps she should eBay it?
It's only a bit windy here 2p, but we have micro-rain of the sort that wets you through without being visible. I am supposed to be digging more holes, but I know someone who wants a cold frame, so I may start knocking one together. You and your superglued cut Bluey reminds me of a time when, aged about 10, I opened a high cupboard and a very sharp knife fell between my ring and middle finger, making an impressively deep cut.I was so terrified of having stitches, I just taped the two fingers together for a week or so. That worked too.
I can't think of a link to today's picture or ID them, but they were at Rosemoor a couple of weeks ago:"There is no such thing as a low-energy rich country." Dr Chris Martenson. Peak Prosperity8 -
Them's mushrooms Dusty
The human body is a marvelous thing eh? If in doubt do nowt. I wouldn't fancy being slit by a knife there, gawd that made my tummy go squiggly! Did the random-o-meter give a menu of possibles for perusal?
Hoovering Less, that made me giggleYou're a swimmer aren't you 2p? Is that a good relief for your muscular/bone-ular issue? Good news about your new box shoots too. Aye this year's soon gone in, it's December a week tomorrow!
Who said it was to be a nice (if breezy) day? Oh that's right, they all did. Well it's raining that tiny diddy rain that you can't see and the 'breeze' is a 40mph gusterly westerly. So I'll not be out in the garden today either :rolleyes:I removed the shell from my racing snail, but now it's more sluggish than ever.4
